Ah, the old phantom bird...
Back in high school, we had the big whole class picture taken and were sternly warned beforehand about shenanigans. As in there were to be none. Anyone caught with inappropriate gestures or whatnots would be disciplined and their offending actions would be obfuscated behind blobus redactions on the final picture.
Well, I mean, a bunch of adolescent males in a gymnasium taking a picture - sure, they'll all listen.
Pictures came back and there were plenty of blobs over classmates faces, laps, arms, etc.
All except for one phantom bird that made it through the scrutinous eye of the administration.
And that was one of the few accomplishments I had in high school.
True Story.

Like, I'm just trying to sit here on the bench and eat my lunch in peace but I got this weirdo hanging around watching the airdryers like he's the warden of the locker room.
:ladyboi: quit being so creepy.
Why do I get the feeling that FJ talks about being super broke... but in reality, probably has the biggest house in the 'hood, a gold plated tool chest, and only uses his CU2 to drive to the mail box at the end of his driveway, because it's too impractical to take the Lambo or helicopter...
I got to drive this yesterday... and now I'm hooked. I was initially thinking of dumping the TL for one of these, but I'm now thinking to get rid of Wifey's Sonata and find one of these. Then I'll have 3 6MT cars at home
This is a 2007 Subaru Legacy GT Spec B. It's essentially a WRX engine, mated to the STi drivetrain. a wolf in sheep's clothing, especially once you put the "SI Drive" into Sport Sharp mode. (minus the VTEC)
HID Retrofit from TRS. The 2007s had halogen lights. The 2008s got HIDs, but the headlight shape is slightly different and won't fit. Looked like it was OEM quality.
BOXER!!!!!
Dirty as F*** still. He hasn't had time to give it a "blessing" yet. Aka a 10 hour detail, lol.
And of course, the piece-de-la-resistance. J would like this one He's got a nice stable of whips, that's for sure.
Car is clean as F*** and I'm super jealous. Has about 62k miles on it and it's in overall pretty nice shape. Front grill will be replaced (it's painted black), amongst a few other minor cosmetic things.
What a cool car to drive. Starting from a stop, there's no wheel spin and just instant grip as if it were on dry pavement. And when stepping on the gas through a corner, you can get the ass end to predictably swing out and yet stay under control. It's SO easy to drift this thing. Downshifting is weird though. You blip the throttle and downshift and it sounds like you're downshifting on a Harley. blubblubblubblubblubblubblubblubblubblub. Love it.

Have we met before?
Sure we haven't met before?
Ghetto AF.

I gotta be realistic. It's super rare and now 8-9 years old.
There's one for sale a few hours from me, but it's got over 200k km (125k miles) and you can see some wear on the inside in several places. Plus it's at a shitty little dealership, which I don't trust.
If buying used, I prefer to buy private. Don't wanna pay those additional taxes lol.
Before I bought the TL, I was trying To decide between the TL and the Spec. B, and ultimately went with the TL. And I don't remember why either, lol.

Look, the Lowe/MacTavish days of running this club into the ground are over. They have some much better leadership now, which unfortunately, still has to run course of the terrible contracts those two previous buffoons made.
The Oilers are improving under the new leadership, though. Next year they'll dump, or won't resign some of these shit contracts, opening doors for better, hopefully more experienced guys. Plus, brand new arena. Who doesn't want to play in a new building?
Plus, we likely will get the first round draft pick
