R8 is doing good. Looks mean as hell sitting in the garage. Those LED headlights kill Acura.

We don't have any big chain locally for car shit other than CT (which is only good for small maintenance items and washing your car) but he should know better and look for the independent stores instead.
Otherwise, order online if shipping ain't killin' it.

There's more than enough independent stores with access to high quality audio components and other performance car shit around his location, heck I was able to source Red Line ATF for $13/qt...

Online is the way to go. Back in the day, I bought a killer system and I bought everything online, from the US. I didn't get warranty because it was cross-border (bs...) but I saved a ton of cash.

What would have cost me 3k here, I ended up paying something like $1700, from the US.

I already told that dummy what to do. He's adamant his oem stereo has better sound

I guess it's possible... But odd.

I don't know any business majors that I'd trust with a multimeter. Anyone here? Show of hands?

Problem is often shipping cause good amps and speakers are often pretty heavy. And the dollar sucks donkey balls right now so sometimes buying locally just makes more sense... enter independent shop that's specialized into car audio.

Fuck joe.. he adds some bullshit credibility line to all his posts. He has a degree in sucking dick. A voltmeter + job.. are you fucking kidding me. He works at his mama's house product testing pornhub's tweaking butt. He also has a part-time job of talking about shit he has no clue about and taking other people's work and passing it off as his own.

I like how he refers to a business degree as a pass / fail thing. FFS. And when does having a business degree give you any fucking credibility.

Even with exchange rate and shipping, it still came out like that. Actually, I think I had to pay another $100 to UPS (fucking crooks), but yeah, 1800 for 3k of equipment. Fuck yeah. This was back in 2005 I think. Maybe 2006. The dollar wasn't doing all that well. I think it was the same as now. It was all eBay.

Those independent shops are good, but they generally mark their shit up quite a bit and it's not like you can get the higher line products from the big box stores. I was just happy I never needed to do a warranty claim, lol.

If you buy all your stuff from specialized places usually they calm down on the markup, even more so if you're going for the whole install which I would strongly suggest most people do because most people = tards.

That said, I've bought audio equipment from the states before and had nothing but good experiences. Ideally not through UPS though.

Everybody has to start somewhere... multimeter probes are an easy first anal insertion due to their flaring and small overall diameter.

they use platinum-plated fiber optic wires, That's why stock speakers sound so great!

If I'm not mistaken, the niqab isn't even a religious thing, but moreso a cultural thing. IF that is the case, I think people coming over here should adapt just a little bit to our culture. They leave their homes because it's apparently awful and oppressive there, yet they bring everything over here. I don't get it.

If it is religious based, then so be it. If it isn't, then by golly, I really can't wait for the first guy to wear a ski mask into a bank, or parliament, or courthouse, or wherever. And no one better say a fucking word, otherwise the Supreme Court can say "it's all good!" to that too, because it's "discrimination". Just because someone wears a ski mask doesn't mean they're a threat!! Equal rights!!

Man, if someone can't hook up a car stereo... I don't even know... There's no fucking way I'm paying for that shit. I found doing stereo installs to be rather enjoyable.

Honestly IDGAF cultural or religious issue. They can do what they want in their country or homes. The rules are this, you obey or you GTFO.

That doesn't go only for the niqab but for all the PC stuff as of late. I remember that story maybe a year or 2 ago where some people complained because they could see people training in the YMCA wearing only skimpy training outfits through their apartment windows. And they won. YMCA has to get all their windows fixed, which were already frosted but not frosted enough .
