Big fan of electrostatic mops for hardwood floor, they catch pet hair easily.
For carpet (I got carpet in the bedroom, rent apt) I use a rubber broom which is surprisingly efficient at balling up hair. Then second pass with cheap vacuum to remove dust/sand/whatever.
I feel with vacuum alone on floors you simple blow it away, with an electrostatic mop it's a breeze.
Any of you guys familiar with the "Halal Guys" craze in NY. chicken and rice for days.. they're opening up their first restaurant on the west coast and it happens to be down the street... tempted to go check it out for shits but i'm wondering if the line is going to be a bitch..
