Yeah, for being a dipshit. He doesn't know shit about gun safety. You don't shoot an AK from the hip unless your a derp trying to bump fire or just look like a fucking douchebag. Second you don't stand adjacent from the muzzle nor to the side of a shooter, always behind and away from the dominant firing side. Third, you don't check to see if you're out of ammo by fucking firing it. Not all AK bolts stay open after the last round, but it's quick work to pull the bolt back to check and then slide the safety selector up. Fourth, secure the fucking rifle first dumbass. And fifth.. dat assssss!

That's definitely not the worst I've seen.. in fact a girlfriend of ours who came shooting pulled the same shit. I was at the rifle range down the line with hombre while the others shot at the pistol range. I left them after supervising most of them (not said girl), because another shooter in our group said they shot all their life and were very experienced (fuck no). Came back from the rifle line and the group looked white. Girlfriend shot a smitty 357 and then proceeded to turn around with the gun to look at the group and laugh because she was so shocked how powerful it was.

Whole group's buttholes could have squeezed the white out of a grain of rice. That was the last time I went shooting with anyone in the group except hombre. Everyone in the group was about 10 paces behind her, including the dumbass who said they'd supervise. I chewed the gun expert the fuck out when we got outside (not the chica bc she didn't know any better). It was a learning experience for me to say the least.

I take at least a few people out each year who have never shot before or very little experience. Always watchful and looking over their shoulder, reinforcing good gun control fundamentals as well as educating them about the firing mechanism and firearm they are handling beforehand. Almost everyone, even strong proponents for gun control, love it. In fact one gun control fanatic (lawyer out of Ohio) called me up a week later asking if we'd go again. I think he bought a G19 a couple months later.

I had a guy almost point the gun at his head because he was trying to figure out how to release the slide. After securing the gun, he almost did it again trying to figure out how to adjust his supporting hand to be comfortable. Business end down range!!

Funny thing is he kept saying his hands felt uncomfortable. So he adjusted his dominant hand up. Thumb webbing behind striker. Took out a nice chunk of skin.

Some people only learn the hard way. I never let anyone fire a revolver without going over proper hand positioning and reinforcing the reasoning for it. I did the same with said bronamath above, but he threw all that out the window after the first couple shots.

why not go over rules before shooting?

because egos? and every one thinks they know what they're doing?

guns arent toys, i'd rather go over the rules once more and be safe

Honestly, the few times I've taken people out for the first time, I ensure they all shoot sideways until they prove to me that they are proficient enough to hold the gun upright.

Ouch for the thumb webbing.

It's crazy how many people just get a gun put in their hands by friends and have no fucking clue. Never pointing a firearm at someone sounds like a common sense thing but it's not for everyone, and as you previously said those who put said gun in hands of friends without teaching them proper safety and handling deserve a sarcastic slow clap...

Don't be an audio snob, nobody hears the difference between a good CBR/VBR 320kbps and a FLAC as proven by many double blinds, and surely not old people at a wedding.

There's a very strong auditory illusion in French with that song.

It goes like "Joe is picking up the leaves and we're telling Sam it's really hot now".

Haha I'm old school....started with vinyl and most of that vinyl was cleaned up and ripped to 320kbps the proper way. So because of that, I have a lot of exclusive stuff that was only released on vinyl back then and is not and will not be on iTunes.

I changed my brake lines yesterday. And I'm still alive! I must have done something right

I put Honda brake fluid in last time I flushed the brakes (just over a year ago). I was surprised how dirty the fluid was already. Ended up putting in a DOT4 fluid this time and bled the whole system with it. Everything seems to be working.

I'll post pics of the brake line later, when I'm not too lazy to get the photos off my phone. Honestly, you can't really see much and I was really hard on the line at the end it broke, due to the connection being slightly corroded/seized, so it looks worse then when I first took the wheel off.

There was a clear rubber casing around the line, which has hardened and cracked over the years, exposing the SS mesh in some spots. It looks like thats where the failure occurred.

I googled some pics and the lines look like Russell SS braided lines, originally purchased from HeelToe.

The better your audio equipment, the easier it is to tell a crappy quality file from a higher quality one. I have a good amount of money into my set up and it's always finely tuned for each event individually - why put my repuation/future business on the line for a 128kbps Chicken Dance?

Any DJ that plays the chicken dance (or anything along those lines) at a wedding, should immediately be taken out back and bludgeoned with a bag of bricks. Just sayin'.

Any DJ that doesn't read the crowd, should suffer the same fate

You are right. It only takes 1 dissatisfied professional chicken dance dancer to fuck up your reputation.

Every DJ gets that "special request". It's either the chicken dance or I will survive.

It's also reinforcing good control and practicing safe shooting all-around. Like I said, some people have short memories, and while they be nodding their head, that info goes in one ear out the other. Even diving, people would do the same shit.. then panic underwater. I can always tell on the boat or on the line who is going to give me trouble. People are generally nervous AF around guns. I had a friend back in school who would turn to a plank of wood when he'd see my pops gun holstered at his side.

Even in war, my father and others have told me that guys get gun shy in the field. I think that's the reason they drill infantry much more these days, although it's not shared among all armed forces. I've taken out plenty of friends who are in the service but haven't fired a gun since boot. They had the jitters because boot was their first experience shooting, so it's not a skill they continued.

Once you cement da rulez, and the shooter gets comfortable, it's all fun from there. One of my favorite things to do is take out the flame thrower (AK pistol). My brosef didn't want to shoot it, was timid AF about it after watching me send rounds down range. I was like.. c'mon... 5 rounds. Shiett.. after a couple of rounds, burnt knuckle hair, yelling OH SHIT! he asked for a full mag..

Everybody should learn to shoot. Shit, I think everyone should carry. Can't go back, might as well go forward. Once you start carrying, it goes from.. I wonder if people know I'm carrying? This shit feels weird at my hip... to feeling naked without carrying, almost forgetting you packin' heat. I laughed at Chad's notion that I'd drop his fucking ass, because getting in a fight while I have my pistol on me is the last thing I want to do. I'm way more inclined to not get into some shit when I have my burner cuhhzzz...
