They won 5 emmy's for one of their shows...this was the reward. I had to sign out and add it to cart to see that, so I plan to chat with someone and see if they'll honor it and give me prime for a year from when our membership ends.

I love the internet

Technically, this special discount is only valid for new members, but if you are already signed up you can still buy a gift subscription and email it to yourself. Then you have to cancel auto-renew on your existing Prime membership and wait for it to expire, so you can then use the $67 gift code for another year of Amazon Prime

Hmm. Interesting. That is a very strong conflict between my innate cheapness and my crippling laziness.

I *want* to save the money, but I'd need to actually *do* something.

Ah, but this is where my secret weapon, procrastination, will come into play. I'll just forget about it until midnight when it's too late to do anything.

Perfect!

free 2 day shipping, amazon prime video for shows...and the best customer service I've ever dealt with, I can't tell you how many things they've let me keep because I as dissatisfied with a purchase and the item wasn't returnable.

I'll have to chat with them tomorrow...they got smart, if logged in as a prime member, or trying to buy a gift card membership, it defaults to full price.

I'm rocking the student membership. Not sure how much of a discount it is. Only differences I can see over regular prime is no ability to share with family.

I wish Amazon.ca was as good as Amazon.com. Prime is $79 CAD ($3.45 US) but the selection is still not as good as the .com.

I got shot down...first time ever. Amazon was like, sorry bruh...
I added to cart and it said it would adjust price at checkout when buying a gift card but it wouldn't do it...got all the way to confirming order at $99 so I bailed.

With everything they've done for me, I really shouldn't care about paying full price. I just love a deal.

You still gave them your money, I'm sure they're happy with it.

I had to unlock my car like a caveman this morning, key in the hole and all. Glad I didn't do the keyhole delete.

I meant in the grand scheme of things, not this particular time. In the end, they're still making money with you, it's not like they've done it solely for you.

That said I've always good experiences with Amazon. I just wish there was more stuff available for us Canadiens.

how far from the border are you? Move to North Dakota or at least get a PO box. We'll let you. #MurricaFuckYeah

Yes, they get their money...but when I factor in them shipping me a 30 # bag of dog food for "free" every 2 weeks for $5 less than I pay at the store...and movies, and music, and books...

and there have been 2 or 3 substantial returns where they let me keep the item and straight up refunded me anyway...like, enough money given back to me to cover prime for a few years.

Insane...

You're confusing my location for Taco's though. North Dakota is a whopping 26 hours from me haha. I'm in Montreal, closer to Vermont/NY. I'm still an hour and 10 minutes from the border though, doesn't really warrant a PO box in the states, only bigger purchases are worth it (car things for example).
But then the dollar is shit so not so much anymore.

Yeah I get emails sometimes from Amazon, there was a price drop on a thing you purchased, here's your money back. Cool i'll take it.

plus i was heading to airport that night so i figured i'll do it when i get back. so here i am

Hit the road this morning and saw a gang of first responders. Some lady was crossing a major highway and got murked. Some poor dude headed to work hit her head on. She went through the windshield, luckily he wasn't killed as well. They had a small tarp over her in the middle of the road.. what was left anyways. Traffic was backed up for miles.. shiett.. and with that.. happy friday y'all.
