Jeeezzzzz Maj... Drivel on much about that top ramen place....

Just kidding its bookmarked

The broth is definitely highly important for me as well... Umami for days... I'm a fan of the in-house made noodles as well but I'll give this place a shot. CA MOSTLY has home made noodles, this place better not be over hyped over rated like this place in NorCal..http://www.yelp.com/biz/orenchi-ramen-santa-clara?utm_source=ishare

I was not impressed with Orenchi... Wait was long and it seriously wasn't all that special...
Guess I can take that place off my list of ramen places to try.
IMO most of the better ramen places in the SF bay are in San Mateo

Lucky Belly is pretty good on Oahu, but they didn't put Yotteko-Ya (Kyoto Ramen). That place used to be heavenly. Their quality has fallen recently.. sad. Their chashu is some of the best I've ever had though... mm.. chashu gohannnnn...

So a few days ago a 27 year old guy was found murdered in his house, about 2 hours away from Calgary. His 2 year old daughter was missing also. An amber alert went out across three provinces and 1 state, looking for her.
Well they found her yesterday. I've never watched a press conference where a senior RCMP officer couldn't keep himself together, after what he saw. No info was released yet, besides that they found "human remains" that belonged to the little girl.
They have a 22 year old guy in custody. This case has really struck a chord with me. Kill a grown up? I don't advocate it, but if that's someone's perogative, so be it. Kill an innocent 2 year old? I hope you get every bone in your body crushed. I wish I could get 5 minutes alone with that guy and a Louisville Slugger.

That's a tourist trap, btw these type of Ramen shops on Oahu (plenty) are what they deem as Hokkaido style, but really they PRC style if you get my drift. The closest the owners are to being Japanese are when they were being occupied and immigrated to Oahu.
Goma-tei is another highly regarded ramen spot by locals and tourists.. blehhhhh.......
