CU, I don't know your real name so I'll call you Ferdinand if that's okay.

Ferdinand, don't shy away from hot times and manual labor...it's a free workout that puts cash in your pocket! Then your neighbor won't think you're a deadbeat that goes back on his word! Git out there...put up a canopy, grab some water and sunscreen!

Ferdinand? More like Turdinhand, amirite? hyuck hyuck hyuck!

Man, I'm a desk jockey. Got these soft little girly hands... The most manual labor I do is typing on a keyboard. And I complain too much about the hot sticky outdoors. Ew.

I'm just going to spend the rest of my time peering out of the windows and avoiding him until one of us moves.

It's the only choice.

Ninja Edit: Oh, and I'm Joe. Because there aren't enough Joe's here already.

Had a bit of a disturbing experience this morning. Was driving to a meeting and decided to pop into a coffee shop for a, well, coffee. Noticed there was a bunch of police and transit inspectors on the corner and traffic was crawling through the intersection. Didn't think much of it.

Got my coffee and was driving out of the parking lot and noticed a bus stopped in the right turn lane. Also noticed one of those old people scooters in the crosswalk. Then noticed a couple pylons with a tarp draped over them... Covering the massive blood spill on the asphalt. Fuuuuuuck. Just gave me the creeps.

Hopefully a TL AT transmission failure, otherwise pretty creepy.

It's one of these things, you watch violent movies, you see all these CGI shit on TV, but when you see a large puddle of blood in real life it's always upsetting. An innate thing I believe.

So, up in Canada is it still just old people that use them? 'Cuz down here in 'murica it seems to be mostly morbidly obese people. I wouldn't even go to call them old people scooters any more.

Just curious.

I'd say the majority of people I see using them are old and/or disabled to some extent. I occasionally see a beluga whale riding one, but not very often.

Old people only here. Some pimp their scooters with custom horns and little orange flags and LED strings.

I occasionally see an old dude motoring around town with an NDP flag hanging off the back

Like Polo said, it's pretty much old people riding them. It's very rare to see plumpers on the scooters here.

Yes. I find that fascinating.

Do you guys in Canada know what Type 2 diabetes is?

Or is that just something you hear about in stories like unicorns, Sasquatch, and North Dakota?

I think I might like Canada; so polite and seems nice. Is there a big problem with us southerners sneaking across the boarder illegally?

So the Calgary Stampede is going on right now (think of a big ass carnival, concerts and a stampede all lumped into one). Someone filmed some chick getting tag teamed at the Stampede grounds by two hicks- one front, one back, all three of them standing.

The girl was identified (look up Alexis Frulling on FB if you so care), and her response to the whole thing is absolutely ridiculous. Not only does she admit to it (opening her up to now being able to be charged), but she's also proud of it. She even posted an image of the movie taken on her FB page.

No one sneaks up North. Who the hell wants to willingly come freeze their balls off??

I have Type 1 diabetes. Yay!! The Canadian Government is pushing for a cure for diabetes big time. Due to the "free" healthcare we have here, Diabetes is costing the Gov billions every year and the numbers just go up every year as more people get it.

Dang. Front cowboy looks like he's got doodoo down the front of his pants. And she's still diving in face first. She's a trooper, I'll give her that much!

I've never been north of the boarder (been south of the boarder plenty) but you're making it seem so pleasant up there.

I'm seriously considering sneaking across and taking someone's job. I bet they'd even apologize after I did it too!

BRB.

Well, it's orange.

There's one near work with la cucaracha as his horn and blue leds and he salutes everyone while honking like he's the queen, all smiley and shit though. Looks like a cool gramps haha

I only know insulin-dependant diabetes people actually, because their pancreas ain't working properly. My sample is small though, 2 people.

No need to sneak illegally, if you're able to vow allegiance to the queen (in English speaking provinces) or learn about the kitchen meeting for Quebec then you're in.

Since we're shipping all of our temporary foreign workers away, I'm sure any and all Tim Horton's locations could use a helping hand...

As an ex-Pat of the USA! USA! I can say that the transition is relatively easy...

The part you must get used to is of course the high taxes. No way around it...you're going to get raped. But, the healthcare is "free" which has some benefits even though personally, I would love it to be privatized so that people who want to pay for it have access immediately instead of waiting.

And of course, like down in the US, some cities up here are better than others.

I've been to the Calgary Stampede a few times- most recently was last year. While I have ZERO (along with pretty much 2/3s of the people there) to do with farmers, hicks, rodeos, ranchers, whatever, the Stampede is a good time. And let me tell you, there are some seriously beautiful women that go there. I essentially had to stare at my feet as I was walking around with Wifey, as I couldn't help but notice beautiful women in any direction I looked. Simply everywhere!!

All my PC parts came in! My wife and I wrapped the Alienware case. well, wifey mostly, I just helped pull the vinyl as she applied it. I will say, for our 1st vinyl wrap, it's not as easy as it seems. Either way, a few imperfections here and there but over all great looking. We also wrapped the keyboard the same color as the case.

I've just watched the video on IG (AT WORK) and well... yeah. Good times for all of them I guess.
Should have been more careful, but let's be honest, probably a blast for all of them minus the backlash. You haven't lived till you had sex on every horizontal surface in your house/apt and many different outsides places. That or I have a serious problem and should see a therapist.

Yeah, um, "a friend" just watched it at work too. "He" thought it was pretty funny. Ol' boy looks like he rode the whole 8 seconds!

So dirty. And the location didn't look too clean either.

Thanks buddy. The vinyl is called Gloss Light Green Pearlescent. The carbon is from Di-Noc which is much thicker and harder to apply on curves. Keeping my fingers crossed the shop doesn't mess up anything.

I haven't worked with vinyl before, is this your first job? Haven't really thought of wrapping a PC case.

My 1st hands on vinyl wrap yes. Doing a PC shouldn't be all that hard, but this case has a lot of curves and sharp edges. We took the entire case apart down to emblems off and cooling vents off. Rolled the vinyl inside and re-assembled the panels back together. It's not perfect but we got the idea on how to do this. The paint on the case was pretty beat up and in bad shape. Painting it was out of the question. Vinyl was the best option.

Did you use a heat gun or hair dryer where you pulled it over the contours? I see some slight bubbling and *think* that heat should have taken care of that.

I'm far from an expert, but those bubbles should lay down if you heat it and mush it a little bit.

I was actually thinking the same thing, but I'm no expert either. They're able to do some uber crazy wraps on cars so I imagine this should be the same.
