At the same time I think there lies the problem with Acura and the RLX... only a handful of people think the RLX is the best bang for your buck/better value.

Oh... i was waiting for a comment about shitty Mazdas
It's a 2007. What's an M-edition? Never heard of it. Otherwise it is a fully loaded GT model with the power retractable hard top and sport package.
It is supercharged with the Cosworth kit.

the NA's had an M-edition with LSD and better interior and wheels.

Just looked... M-editions were from 94-97.
Man, they are pretty nice!

Good condition NAs are still the most sought after. Something about them being the first gen, the lightest, the original, etc.

All about the M edition
Mazda MX-5 Miata M Edition Field Guide
As :ghey: as Miatas are, and there are a lot of haters out there, they're a pleasure to drive. It's funny because those who end up buying one, end up buying again and again. If they sell, it's nothing but regrets.
Definitely not a fast car, but you can throw them into a corner like there's no tomorrow- all you need is really sticky tires (Potenza RE-11As!!) and you'll have a smile on your face. The aftermarket support is absolutely ridiculous for these cars. You can upgrade anything you can imagine, with multiple options for each. Do a mild turbo build or super charge it just to get a bit more oompf out of the car and you'll start neglecting the TL
I'm super jelly you found one for so cheap. That thing would easily sell for double up here. With that kind of mileage, you could flip it easily for 10k (CAN) without issue. They weren't even offered here- no wonder I didn't know about them.

Dude... M editions are collector Miatas... only 3000 produced during the 4 year span. If it's in good shape, you're making off like a bandit for that price.

my brother works at Sears Hardware and a co-worker causally threw out that he's selling his '96 miata with 12k original miles.
it sat in a garage for almost 19 years.
so, if its the M-edition, icing on the cake...
if its the regular version, well, that one is still cool too.

my brother did say that it was a dark blue color and reading that website you linked, the 1996 M-edition was only in dark blue!
im trying to not get my hopes up tho, incase it's the regular base

then again you said the same thing about me with the s2000 and we proved that that was just a phase i was going through, unrelated to car.

I suppose if I never was going to propose and go through the process of blowing a pile of $$$ on a rock, I would never have picked up the load of BS and lies BoostedJack was writing and the advice he was providing...
But, the timing was perfect and that was the beginning of his end...there is no way $60K got him the ring he was describing.

It's nice to see/hear other's stories so I can make an informed decision though... right now the timeline is ~2-3 years to pop question (maybe earlier?) and marriage in 4-5 years.. I love the idea of lab-grown diamonds so am still leaning towards that (hate blood diamond concept..) budget: ?? I'm a horrible when it comes to budgeting.. If it fits the bill and i like it, i'm sometimes okay with spending extra $$ on it..
Sorry for the D&R derail but y'all fuckers talking about cars... so 3G ramblings is a madhouse..
needs more tossing salads..
