Holy ballsack... I got the switches for a whopping 89$ cad shipped from ebay. Just ordered the filter, came out to 28$ cad with shipping.

You 3x3 guys, now that I've thought more about it, if I were y'all, I would do a 3x1 with the Redline and ride a couple hundred miles to see how the trans reacts since y'all have no idea about the maintenance history. If it works out ok, then do another 3x2.

I just wasn't taking into consideration that y'all don't know if the fluid has ever been changed. I knew mine had been once before I did my 3x3 all in one day. I've always heard if it hasn't been changed, and the car has like 100k miles on it, to just not change it at all and run it until it dies.

Barely 60k miles here and very gently driven by prior owner so I'm going ahead as planned
Worst comes to worst - I'll find out how good this transmission shop a friend recommended is a little earlier than I expected.

Like I said though, Red Line at $15.50 vs DW1 at $11.34 = $40 difference. At that point it means nothing to put $40 more on the tranny when the switches and filter work cost over $230.

I'll tell you this though - the hardware (bolts, washers) will be impossible to find so you might as well just order them from Honda. The switches I would look around for. Filter ended up being more expensive stateside as well so might as well order that from him too.

But, that's CDN and we're back where the exchange rate is stupidly hilarious...so, $1100CDN is really $5USD.

If I were you pb.. I'd go D4 just because it's slightly thicker. Spec is pretty close but with your shitty symptoms, you need that sizzurp.

It's fine...I purposely know the cost here but I don't really have the facilities to do maintenance on my car with the climate here regularly and well, other priorities.

Either way, considering the price of the transmission stuff (expected a bit less), I might hold on a bit, need to put wheels and rubber on the car mid april at max and I'm a bit short on spare change.

Care to link me where you got the switches cheap? All I can seem to find is 28610-RKE-004 (revised 3rd pressure for Odyssey and TL) for 59$ on Amazon.ca and 28600-RKE-004 for 60$.
Cheaper, sure, but not $90 for both either. If I can save on the big items, I will!

You can also use the following:
3rd Gear Switch
old#:
28610-ray-003
new#:
28610-ray-013
4th Gear Switch
Old#:
28600-ray-003
new#:
28600-ray-013
As for where I got them, it was ebay and I think that vendor no longer has them. I see a couple of pressure switches up for sale but they're ranging from 50$ to 76$ for 28600
Depending on what your timeline is like, you could ship it to the parcel place in Niagara and I could pick it up for you and shoot it to you via Canada Post, it could probably fit in letter mail.
It would probably save you over 50 bucks for that matter ...

Edit: I believe it goes 28610-RAY-003 to 013 then to RKE-004. Might be wrong, but parts guy over at Acura told me about it.

Shiiiiit I hope its ok I got the older switches ... although I'm sure its ok given plenty of people used 013s. Anyway, what I think we should do is put together some Canadian members that would want to get stuff from the US, and see if anyone else wants to put in orders. CBI charges 6 bucks USD per package, so with 3 people putting in orders together, boom 2 USD per package per person.

Hey I wish. This is Canada, no such thing as 220 for all 4 wheels brand new, obviously. And used stuff I've looked but haven't found anything I fancy. Like I said early, I can get some MS3 2nd gen wheels for $300 but they're not something I want.

So finally you believe me! Canucks that don't know where to get cheaper parts or aren't mechanically inclined get their shit pushed in by dealerships here.
Even buying from the US doesn't make much sense anymore, with there being a 20 cent disparity between dollars. Pretty sure credit card companies bump that to 23 or 25 cents. because, you know, they're not rich enough, lol.

At that price I would get the 530s and just get them in +33 offset. You'll be able to run a 235 no problem, and I think they look infinitely better than the DAIs, with better fitment to boot
#5719

Anyway, all depends the prices I get. +30ish offset is easy peasy, don't really want to roll the fenders, ain't going for baller just wanna have some wheels on the car so I can drive.

Totally forgot: Phatfux Wheels Ballzy is a good option! Apparently they're super lightweight too (sub 19 lb for 18x9) and look very much like the Weds TC105N
