Thanks, dude...I do too...hopefully the shop I'm going to can buff it out.

Sorry, dumb question: what is Plastidip and how would it help with a dent?

Decided to sell my Sport wheels.

Will probably just purchase new wheels and hope I get the money back or a little less.

So funny story... I was putting gas in the TL and the pump stopped at $34.48.

I had to put the two extra cents in to feel complete.

Regrats. Much regrats.

Once some asshole steals your rims, you'll be wishing you kept your OE ones around so that you can still drive.

Hey, it's Cali. Don't kid yourself in thinking there aren't pieces of shit all over the place!

Here's my 2 cents.

As much as we are car guys and invest a ton of money, pride and tears into our vehicles, it's good to be protected. I purchased 2x dash cameras. They weren't terribly priced from Amazon. The ones I got were https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I installed them as instructed in the manual. 1st day using the one in the Mercedes, I caught a driver flying past me and going through a red light at a very high rate of speed and later in the day heading home from work, I caught a dipshit New York driver cutting me off on the parkway to get the exit.

A camera would come in handy for any situation. Here at the pictures of the cameras mounted but not fully installed.

Sport wheels will probably get stolen before aftermarkets.

The Sport wheels are hot items to steal. NJ and Cali are seeing these things stolen left and right.

My brother didn't want sport wheels on his accord for this reason. It's a hot item in NJ, like you said.

Gus, pretty cool, man.
I'd have to delete the footage constantly thought to protect myself from documenting what an asshole driver I am!

Pretty sure? Jeez Adam, Canada really is different...
If Chad were paying cash, he could claim the vehicle was a gift if the seller was on board (uncle from zimbabwe that came into some money)...burden of proof is on the State which they'd never be able to prove that the sum wasn't zero or $100 bucks.
But if you get a loan, and are paying a lien, there's a paper trail and Chad will have to pay tax at least on $21K (I'm guessing he's 10K cashing in and only getting a loan for the other 21K...which he'll make up when he sells the TL). In which case he'll pay the taxes on 21K if seller will do a bill of sale saying that was the sale price.

Kevin, good move, I really despise those sprort wheels.

ah, ok, maybe it is the same here then. I've never purchased a used car in such a manner. Always just cash (hey, they were cheap cars, not 40k S5s, lol).

I guess in that sense it makes.. uh.. sense.

er, I mean, I bought my Bugatti Veyron with cash, after I bought it from the Prince of Brunei. Did the same with my Ferrari collection (F40, F50, F60, F70) for cash also. They were all previously owned by some Saudi prince.

No paper trail, so I continue making it rain cash.

$31 K was the pre flake price...
Chad said he hit him low but not too low...so I'd guess he did $29K citing flight and gas to get home and a little raking over the coals for leaving him hanging.

Killer deal. Gonna swoop in and pick it up tomorrow for $32K cash. Alex and I went to HS together, it turns out.

Taxes aren't always that simple, vis-a-vis "gift" or unreasonably low price.

Some states tax on a book value, or based on initial sales price factored into some equation to account for depreciation.

I ran into this when I bought a car and put $200 as the sales price on the title transfer. They were just like "lolwut, we're taking you on $1200 but good try".

Doh...going through insurance. Went to a paintless-dent repair shop and while assessing the damage, we noted the cracked paint on both driver-side doors.

Yup...herro insurance claim.

It would go off book value. The car is way under what it should be to begin with. If I only said it was $21k something would be way off.

The bank is doing everything for me apparently. So they needed tax and everything today. 7.5% here...
