"Here" being OH or FL? Because you should only pay tax in the place you register it, right?

Right. Ohio. I couldn't really lie about price either because I'm throwing a bunch of money into the pot...and it's coming from the same bank. Lol

your end links probably are fine, no?
I swapped back and forth from street to track, I think I went street for some added comfort on this car, but I'll need to double check. Might have been on the NBP that I did that before removing it.

Burger story time:

TL;DR: Two little people and a can of gold spray paint.

A couple weeks ago I went to Whataburger for brunch (because I'm classy as fuck) and got a jalapeno cheeseburger or some shit. I haven't been to Whataburger in maybe a year? It's just not real high on my burger priority scale; probably because I'm not a native Texican. But you know how sometimes you just get that hankering for something? Yeah, that happened.

So I get my burger sandwich, fries, and this giant fucking styrofoam barrel that passes for a "small" sized drink. And since it was my first meal of the day I was just like, "yeah, bitches! 32 ounces of coffee; imma drain your pot, suckas." But draining the post netted me about 3 ounces of coffee so jokes on me, right? Nope. Get the girl behind the counter to fill that summabitch up. She's like, "that's not a coffee cup." And I was all, "sure it is... see this coffee in here already? Make it more. Please (because I'm not a shitlord; I have manners)."

And she does. Because she doesn't get paid enough to care.

Sit down and start getting my eat on and I begin to realize that Whataburger is kind of shit.

And then it hits me! It's 11:00... Ante Meridiem... not Post Meridiem... and I'm stone sober. So wtf, everything is starting to make sense.

And that's how I realized that I've never eaten Whataburger, let's say, in a scenario such as this before.

But no one shit on the dining room floor while I was there so it was still better than some trips to McDonald's.

/CSB

So now I'm really curious about the bank wanting the taxes. Maybe she just meant for cutting a check for it?

Because I'm reading the Florida DMV/tax collector sites and it says for me to get temp 'in transit' tags I need to pay the taxes...

maybe with the assumption that most car sales are within the state? The taxes are technically paid (where you usually pay taxes) Maybe just get a receipt to be safe?

Maybe the bank is registering it here and then I'll just get a receipt today from them and I can just show Florida DMV that I've already paid it...

Johnny, from Sears, i wanna say on sale for either $13.99 or $19.99.

Chad, that's how it was with USAA...they would let me borrow an extra 10% of what I'm paying for the car, to cover taxes. Or I could just pay the taxes on my own.

I don't think the bank will deal with taxes since that comes with registering the vehicle which is your responsibility.

To get the car home, I'm not sure what to do...Clay went to a FL DMV and registered it here first so he could put a FL plate on for the drive to SC. But that's because military and he moves around a lot. Check with Ohio...they are who you need to deal with in reference to driving her home.

NOW...I took a chance, but I just slapped my NBP TL plate on the KBP for the drive home from Ohio. I was told that as long as I had the bill of sale, insurance, and some paperwork showing proof that I owned the car...I shouldn't have a problem with cops if I didn't drive like a toolbag.
