What garage door did you get? Wood, aluminum, opener?

What kind of garbage disposals you fools running? Ours, which has to be original to the house, has a small leak. I've been eyeing a few and was curious what everyone else has.

Steel Amarr door. Long panel. With a Liftmaster 8500 jackshaft motor. I'll take pics manana. I was considering other doors but for the style of this house, it didn't make sense.

I got a Waste King GD for both my parents and my GF's parents house. Crazy good reviews on Amazon so it was a no brainer. Plus slickdeals has great deals on them all the time. Paid ~100 I believe ? Plus the warranty on them was amazing.

The contractor installed it for my parents house as part of the kitchen install but I DIY it for my GF.

I was looking at either a Waste King L-8000 (4600 4.5 star reviews) or an InSinkErator evo excel (1100 5 star reviews). One being twice the price as the other. :/

I can't imagine how replacing a GB will be hard at ALL if everything 'fits' as it should.

I mean there isn't much to it...

I have he L8000 and am surprised at house quiet the damn thing is...I don't think you'll be disappointed in it.

Not really hard at all. If you have an existing one, it's stupid simple, but if you don't, you'll need to do do some PVC cutting and alignment to get the drain pipe and secondary sink drain (if you have one) all nice. Took me about an hour at the gf's house because her dad or his plumber thought that duct tape was a good patch for pipes

A new install could be challenging, but if you're just swapping out, it's easy.
I have a 1HP Insinkerator.

Yea I've been leaning towards the Evo Excel. It's been in my Amazon cart for a long time...even before the leak. The feature list is long and it's suppose to be as quiet as they come.

I dropped the cash on an amazingly quiet Bosch dishwasher I might as well continue the trend...

I cross shopped the Excel too but at the time the L8000 dropped to 90 bucks so seriously a no brainer.. It looks a bit rinkydink with the plastic, I'll admit but performance has been phenomenal. Just my two cents.

Yes.. if you like staring at nothing but water and sky for 18 days as you cross the ocean on a freight ship. Then again, seeing occasional plumes of garbage floating on the water does have that calming effect

Freight ship... HA!

I think my family was on a small fishing boat if that... With Malaysian pirates constantly around looking for people to rob and potential for sinking ships, and stories of whales saving their lives, definitely not your typical Disney Dream cruise

I was lucky enough to be born here probably should share that gratefulness to my mom this Sunday..

A. Why can't you fool a miscarriage?
B. How many cops does it take to change a light bulb?
C. What should you never say to an aids patient?

A. It wasn't born yesterday
B. Doesn't matter. They just shoot the room for being black.

Well when I said freight ship... I figured there was 400 people crammed into a shipping container. But then no one would have seen the views Yumcha was talking about
