I'll grab some samples and see what the material is like. Being a little more 'resilient' than regular dinoc may not be a bad thing. But if it's a pita to work with fuck it. I can always paint them like you did. Or use the silver cf version that's more familiar...
I REALLY wanted to keep that custom work Wacker did but gauge trim won't work....clock area won't work...enough to say fk it, let the next owner enjoy that.
Well you've got a type-s...no need for the gauge trim... I'm still happy with mine!
You could swap the console runners with someone but thats one more thing that can differentiate your 3G vs others on the market. All of their runners are going to look like shit.
Hydro would literally be the best option. I didn't really think about it. It's gotta be expensive though right? Plus I'm going to try to wrap all of the interior aluminum trim and I don't think some of those pieces come off right? At least not easily? Like the dash one above the glove box...?
I just can't remember how the door trim ones are held in...if screws, it's a piece of cake.
Above the glove is held by white clips. I don't think hydro is that crazy expensive. Snakeskin!
Yeah, you right you right...that's kinda what I was thinking...even the silver trim on the S is different frmo teh base...it's like this scaly looking gunmetal that looks cool. I am planning to use a light gunmetal or maybe black translucent paint with a paint brush to just touch up the damaged areas that are lighter.
Yea they have a different pattern/slightly different color. There have been a couple part out threads on here that were type-s that I would have bought the runners from...if they matched. :/
If the dash pieces are just clipped in perfect. The door pieces come off. At least the metal AND the cf area together. I'm not sure if the metal comes off that piece or not. I don't remember checking when I had the door skins off.
Good thing about that is you cuold find a sway bar box...and ship all those pieces anywhere in the US you get a decent price from. Shipping wouldn't be bad.
I drove around last night and thought a white modded BRZ wanted to race.. I downshifted and started tailing him but he just took his sweet ass time... So did the SL 550 in the other lane...
No one wants to race a yellow mustang?
Towards the end there was a older gen GS that followed me.. i gunned it afew times but he didn't follow
AZ seems to be acting up, at least for me, today. Half the time it either won't load, or it's incredibly slow. I'm guessing others are having similar issues as very little people are posting.
I know what you meant it was just contextually confusing. I'm yankin' your chain.
I've been clearing the basement out so I can encapsulate the crawlspace. I literally just threw all my boxes away Monday night. Speaking of should I keep my stock suspension/jpipe/precats/third cat, sell, or throw away? I highly doubt I'll remove anything from the car come sale time.
I'm sure one of the dinocs will float my boat and I'll just do that. I doubt the downtime or cost of hydro is something I'm willing to do for this car.
I ended up keeping all the OEM parts for my TL and my Miata... seems like a waste of storage space. I too doubt I'd ever throw the stock exhaust back on, for any reason.
That being said, I like to give buyers the option of having them. Not that they have a choice. It all goes when the car goes
unless you buy another of the same car
honestly, I let go of a LOT when i moved and I still have most of that stuff in the attic.
will you bother? maybe not...but if you toss it, you lose the ability to choose. Maybe you're hard up for money at the time and need so sell the high flow cats/jpipe...at least you can swap. Although in winterland...who wants to even touch those bolts.

Yeah, I'm starting to think it's kind of futile to keep stuff like that around. OEM wheels are always keepers, no matter what, but beyond that, I dunno. It's kind of a case-by-case basis.
Well, I let go becuz I was moving and then it required effort. but if you're not hurtin for space...and it's out of sight out of mind...I don't see a point in tossing it preemptively to toss.
Hmm. I've got tons of room but no reasons to keep them. I guess they'll just keep collecting dust.
Edit: Unlike J, I throw everything away. Lol
My latest side project at home is coming together nicely. My in-laws gave us a nice solid mahogany dining table and chairs when we first bought the house years ago. The day we moved was one of the windiest I can remember and I totally fucked the top of the table up... like 1/8" gouges. Since then we've pretty much loaded the house up with early 1960's Broyhill furniture (Emphasis/Brasilia). I've restored a couple but most we bought fairly clean. So I found the dining table to match our lower floor series a month or so ago thus freeing up the solid table to be fixed and moved elsewhere.
Well I'm a gamer. I play CS a couple hours a day, I play in a league twice a week, plus practice/random tournaments. The time adds up. And I've been using a 8' folding table for years that's been falling apart. Not anymore! I've been loading up the mahogany table. I sanded down the top then did a much darker stain all over. I took one of the leaves (it's a length running leaf), stained it, and used some plumbing hardware to make the leaf a second 'level'. I routed in the exact cutout for my mousepad (which is huge at 18"x16") so it sits flush and can't move. I hard mounted my mouse bungee so it can't move. I ran LED stripe lighting all around the bottom of the desk and on the bottom of the 'shelf'. I made a custom box/shelf thing underneath the back right edge to tuck my pc away and get it off the floor for a clean look. And I bought a sweet RODE mic boom / pop filter for my blue yeti mic and hard mounted it.
