Might be getting rid of the spa. It's too much of a hassle, granted yes having a spa is nice. But I have a gym and a community spa/pool that I can use. I can't get in naked, but maybe I'll put a jetted tub upstairs in the master instead.

Spa = jacuzzi I assume?

People say they want one but that's only because they aren't in the know. Jacuzzis are expensive and time consuming to maintain. Most everyone I know who bought a house with one either sold it or doesn't use it at all...

Yes, jacuzzi... I've always called it a spa. Must be a Cali thing.

Yes, they are time consuming and expensive to keep running. With all the chemicals when I first moved in I think I paid $200 for filters and 3 different chemicals. Then you have to test the water, then running that damn pump. Plus we have metered water so if I ever have to fill it up. I think there is bad piping under it which it making the water leak out, so all of the water is currently drained out. Filling that shit back up is 500+ gallons of water which equals an expensive ass water bill.

We used it three times since moving in back in May 2015.

Yeah, at first they're cool and then eventually you're like "fuck this fucking thing "

Wifey and I considered renting one. There are places round town that rent them. We were thinking of renting it just for the winter season, have it placed just outside our master bedroom. They drop it off, hook it up, maintain it, then take it all when you don't want it anymore. They likely aren't the craziest models, but shit, I wouldn't be dropping 8k on one anyway. If after a season we don't like it, no biggie.

Yes, they're not cheap.

Spoke to my warranty company. They will only cover it if it's equipment that failed. Plus where the "where they assume the leak is coming from" is under the jacuzzi and according to the contract, they do not service "not able to access" parts. They told me I could take it apart and have someone come out and then if it's non structural they will fix it. At this point, I said "just close the work order, I'll have someone come in and remove it, cap the electrical and water lines." Fuck it!

That's exactly how I started to feel. It will save me money in the long run. No need to put it under my warranty coverage, saves $200, no need for that shit to be running up my electricity bill or water bill.

Holy fuck, I just read what you said about the hot tub earlier, and yeah, fuck that shit.

If anything, I'd likely turn that fucker on its side and see if I could fix it myself (the J way ), but if it's not just piping, I'd toss that fucker away. If you do fix it, just flip it on CL

Something is up with the heating on it as well. That's covered though. But they can't test it because it doesn't stay filled with water because of the leak. FFS, I could have told the tech that.

Fix the leak. I'm sure it's easy enough. If you need help, just fly J and me out to your place and we will take care of it for you

Seriously, I'd fix that fucker right up and sell it. Make some quick coin.

Flip...snot sure if anyone told you but use Silk Balance in your hot tub...locks the water balance in, makes the water silky smooth. I've used it for 4 years now and makes live simple, start using it and you almost never have to add anything to the water other than a teaspoon of shock after each use.

Yes really...it's not cheap but add it once a week and I don't even worry about the water after that. Takes 5 minutes.

Totally agree, that's why I use Silk Balance...so much easier and very little bromine/chlorine.

Shit I never knew you had an ep3! I've always loved those, but man, were they ever expensive here when they were new. That and they were essentially a base model RSX. Might as well just go with the RSX-S

Yes sir...and ironic you say that!
I was WAY upside down on this turrible Nissan Frontier I convinced myself I needed for work (kept it a month)...decided I needed to be happy and get what I wanted (EP3) so I got one and it fit all my work equipment...enjoyed it for a year...ended up with the HFP kit for cheap when they liquidated...then totaled the car. Luckily, I had gap insurance and it ate up ALL the negative equity. Then I went straight to buy my Acura RSX-S Blaze Orange Metallic. Had a hard time getting used to the shifter not being mounted on the dash anymore. That was what I had before my TL. I miss them all, still!

Yea all that bromine and shit. I can take that money and buy car parts or house stuff. Going to tear it down sometime next month when I'm on vacation.

Also, debating on putting spacers on the Accord I was looking at the ass today and said damn it's too flush. Need to do some research as I've never ran spacers and never really looked into them.

If you can't run at least a 15MM version 2, I wouldn't bother with the hasshole of having to install extended studs.
