From my HS engineer buddy (the one I passed on his M3 )...he swayed me from buying it because he said that even if i can wrench myself and drop the motor for intense work, the parts are expensive as hell, even though he had a hook up. He told me in 3 years of owning it, he spent 10K to keep it on the road and it spent 60% of the time on stands being worked on at his parent's house.

I mean, I take it with a grain of salt and I love warranties...but the idea of the inconveniece of having to be in a loaner (NOT MY FKNG CAR) a few times a year would turn me off majorly.

Totally agree! I can't believe how smart (lucky) I was to buy one with a CPO warranty. The depreciation on German is ridonkulous...I would never buy new German...wait, is Bugatti German or Italian?
Nah's GK.. you's smart, not lucky. Luck is something out of your control. You made the wise decision to find CPO and now you're reaping those benefits.

$50 is cheaper than your oil changes I'd be game for that...

modified wrencher...I change my own oil and other maintenance stuff. I have access to an Air Force auto hobby shop which makes a lot of the stuff way easy. Everything is more expensive on bimmers v. Japanese though. 6.9 quarts of BMW certified Oil, that's 50 bucks, oil filter, 14 bucks, air filter, 24 bucks, etc. Spark plugs changed every 30K miles, that's about 40 bucks.

Yeah, my son had the 2006 M5, that's the E46 right...the oil pump was changed before he got it but it still cost him a shit ton to maintain. It's gone, he has a V6 TLX now.

Nah man. I was quoted $400 for two wheels. I'm only having two wheels done as the other two are still mint. Total came back $40 less.

I hope the color matches 100%... or just run the two new wheels on one side, and the 2 old wheels on the other

I used to do that, but with the exchange rate it doesn't make sense anymore. That, and shipping is always pricey too. We just can't win.

I paid $28 for an air filter for the Sonata, a few weeks ago from the dealer. That's standard fare around here.

At $200 per wheel for powder coating and when I brought in a 6 year old receipt to make sure the color is perfect...they better match. Or they're redoing them.

The e46/e90 etc designates the generation, GK. Well, mostly, that is how that would translate here.

Actually no, that's wrong.

People say that's the number of times the car will break down in it's lifetime.

I'm that way with cars the grass is always greener, there's always a car I'd like to have that's not mine. Whence I was young, I was like that with ladies...never acted on it though...because i'd have fallen on a knife in the backyard.

Yea I linked the wrong one, removed post. Lol.

It'll be tough if not impossible to find the exact one I want for a decent price. White on black, Prestige, manual, LSD.

When I was on that crazy CTS-V tip I was slated to go test drive a 2013 S4...manual, white on black with those wheels...$39K with 9K miles with CPO to 100K...
but it was sold, thankfully.

S4s are nice. I just like the rear of the S5 better. I would rock either and really they're pretty much the same thing.

$39k though! Too much for me. I'm hoping to keep it under $35k... Or $30k with whatever I get from the TL removed.

Wife says keep the TL... she wants a S2000. Lol

"I wanna be a hot blonde driving a bright yellow convertible to work" is what she said yesterday after I showed her those new pics J.
