Damn, I just re read my post. I found a ton of mistakes.

I have the sub already, just need to get a good amp to match it with. I have my old DXI104, would rather have a JL, but why replace it if it still works.

Although I know you don't need the boost, it's actually been a lot more lively lately. Maybe a coincidence.

Not a coincidence. There's just another asshole rambling in here all the time, so the other assholes chime in more. The more assholes, the merrier!

You doing a clear bra or opti or anything on that freshness?

I'd love to have my front bumper/hood redone. Shit looks like the Milky Way.

I considered it, but I don't think so...I guess if I can keep the rest of the car looking fresh I can stomach a refresh every few years...I hate the line/yellowing of vinyl and I know myself...I'll lock everything in with opti and still want to wax every few months.
Front bumper ended up with an extra few coats of clear too so I'm hoping she's resistant to chipping...and my daily commute used to involve highway and now it's 5 miles all streets.

Yea the line sucks. I probably wouldn't clear bra my hood. The front bumper on the other hand...

Last year, after my big post winter detail, I actually started touch up painting every little chip I could find. I bought that precision touch up paint kit from Griots. It worked fairly well. From a distance you can't pick out anything but when you get up close you can tell it's been touched up.

after my experience and learning on my nbp paint...I'm VERY leery of ANY paint correction now...I'd rather keep my clear thick and just keep it polymer sealed enough to look very good.

I considered PC but on WDP my car is pretty fucking gorgeous... I don't even know if there are any swirls, I've never noticed them. I may go your route and keep it waxed/sealed properly and never worry ...

but again, it's wdp so..

trust me, if you don't see them...don't go do something stupid like start looking for them.
you'll never unsee them.

KBP hides the swirls very well...and considering how infrequently the car was washed (and probably not waxed in a few years) the paint is in great condition. The first car wash the water would not sheet off...and that first coat of wolfgang got absorbed super fast. Needs another application already.

I don't mind busting out the RO once a year. The Griots stuff is so mild that as long as I'm mindful of the edges/ridges I'm not going to go through the clear. Every year I do it and every year it needs it less and less.

I could not do it and be happy it's just a yearly routine I've done for a while.

I hate swirls. It's funny how bad people are at washing their cars. During the winter, I go to one of those wand washes. All I ever do is just spray soapy water and use a wash mitt simultaneously, and then just rinse.

I cringe when I see someone come in with a black SUV and use the car wash brush. First they clean their grimey wheels, and then move up to the paint... Noooo!!!

I don't even "wash" my car in the salty winter. I pull into a self help and rinse with water. No soap, no brush. The soap they use at those places will eat any wax/sealants you've got on the car. I'd rather have the grime on top of the sealant instead of removing it and washing the car often... :/

The last couple months (since i rarely drove the car anyway) I took it to a wand wash and just did the high pressure wash/soap and softened water rinse.

ALL without touching the paint Car was gorgeous

so... similar to what Chad does:
