Also definitely cute seeing that M5 and him knowing he has no chance. He could have pushed that thing so much harder. But you know, that's sometimes the difference between spending a bit and spending a lot. You sometimes drive it harder when it's worth a bit less. ;D

Speaking of which.. my offer has been 'conditionally' accepted ![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Just waiting to hear what the conditions are- I'm thinking he just wants to keep the fitted luggage and extra clutch he has for it, to sell them off seperately, to make up the difference between his asking price and my offer.
That, or there's going to be much tossing involved. To be honest, I'm down with whichever

I'm so sad that I'm not buying it outright until April though (just agreed to price and put a non-fundable deposit on it).
This is going to be the longest winter ever.

The Miatas don't really make much power til ~4k, it falls off at 6200ish, they redline at 6500, and I think mine ('95 1.8L) would kiss fuel cut at 7k. The turbo just makes the 4-6500 run a LOT faster.

Viewing the dyno sheets for the one I'm picking up, it looks to make power all the way to redline. I won't be driving at redline, but I'm hoping it's safe to shift at redline all day, errrday.

I think the CC is a nice car too. It looks similar in shape to the previous gen Sonata. Very nice styling.
My problem with VW is that their engines generally seemed underpowered.

I have zero experience with driving Mazdas- is it okay to redline these suckers on a regular basis, like you can with a Honda? I know they don't have VTEC, so I'm curious to know how the engine reacts.

honestly, if I blow the 2.0 on the Miata, since it's not a daily driver, I'd probably swap in the 2.5 and put the supercharger on that sucker. Would be a good winter project. Apparently it makes the car stupid fast with that engine.

I can see it. I like driving slow cars fast. Plus, there's a lot more to enjoying driving than just being pushed back into your seat. I, for one, would take handling over power any day.

RS, aren't you worried about becoming gator dinner when in a kayak?

Before buying the TL I was looking for a Mazdaspeed 6. Those fuckers are so rare here though, and those that I've seen weren't well kept or had high km.

The good thing is that if you look enough and you're lucky you can find one for quite cheap for a 2007, somewhere around the $8K mark.
And no, I didn't want a freaking Mazdaspeed 3. Freaking hatches. They're all over in QC.

The wife drives a 2012 sonata 2.0T.
I agree, the handling is god awful. I hate driving that car in anything but a straight line. It's nice and fast and all, but even when braking it nose dives like crazy.
I can't ever push that car hard when the wife is sitting shotgun. She starts to get motion sickness from the body roll. TL is way better.

LMAO Jamie...fair enough.
Adam, I'm not afraid of it because it won't happen. Even the fkng 10 footers run at the first sign of activity. They know who they're messing with. My reputation precedes me.
I've even started venturing 5 feet into my canal barefoot to trim the aquatic trees.
