Some dipshit shot up our police HQ and a nearby embassy (over 100 rounds) a few days ago.. an officer holding two horses by the reigns in one hand, pistol in the other, dropped him with one shot from 100 yards in the dark.

We know how to deal with dipshits down here.

It's the habit I imagine.

Still intense though. Sounds like freaking Gary, IN or something.

Funny enough, tickets for the last Oilers game were going for $7 on stubhub. Now that is an all time low. But what do you expect after essentially coming in at dead last, or very much near it, for the last 8 years. People are starting to finally get pissed off.

EIGHT years later!?!?!??? You're witnessing a clown act on ice and it takes 8 years to realize that!??!? They should've been pissed off after maybe 4-5 years of it.

What were they doing for the plus 3 years to realize they were getting ripped off by an old boys club?

How you liking paying for an arena with your tax dollars?

Without derailing this into a hockey thread, I will puke if the Oilers get the #1 pick and get McDavid.

They do NOT deserve yet another #1 pick when they have had a bazillion already.

taco kitteh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tl being the easiest manual you've ever driven!?

that's been the opposite of whats been posted here! lol
my dad let me borrow his 2010 chally srt in 6mt for a month and I got the hang of that clutch in an hour.

the TL took me 3 months.
it's by far the hardest manual to master, in my experience.

I'm coming from Dodge and Chevy econo 5 speed manuals and the TL almost made me regret buying it. I fucking hated it for a long time.

this shifting is precise, its just the clutch take up is so high and unconventional.

I have no idea why. Maybe the previous owner did the check valve removal on the TL before I bought it. No idea how to even check if it was done or not. Like I said in that other thread, my 1999 Civic SiR was the WORST when it came to oem clutches. I've stalled my TL maybe twice since I've bought it, 6 or 7 months ago.

well, i've found that my buddies TL's clutch take up isnt as high as mine.
so, its a little bit easier on their cars.

your clutch pedal might be adjusted well, where as mine might be just a tad bit high.

im scared to turn the pushrod to adjust the clutch pedal tho and i just learned or adjusted my driving style to suit the car.

I agree they don't deserve him... But here's to hoping we get him

And yes, oilers fans have been silly to put up with this shit for so long. I've been saying for years now- the owner, Darryl Katz, doesn't give a shit if oilers come in first or last place, as long as the coliseum is still sold out by the end of the day. The only way he will do anything about oilers management is when he starts losing revenue. It's a business and he's making money with a sold out rink. If you want change, stop going to the games and force the owner into doing something about it instead of keeping the same failures in place since the beginning of time.

Oilers love is strong in this city. They keep selling out because it's good entertainment in the dead of winter. But eventually you gotta get tired of watching these guys lose. I haven't paid to watch a game in years- I only go when I get free tickets from some of the companies I work with, or from friends lol.

Have you replaced your clutch ever? Or had any reason to tinker with it? Mine is all original. Never been touched. I guess I must be lucky. Hopefully this clutch lasts me another 100k

yes, with the high engagement point, I most likely burnt the heck out of the pressure plate.

coupled with the previous owners and prior test drivers, I had to replace the clutch as soon as i bought it.

which wasnt fun after taking out a $23k loan for the car.

like in frosty's thread, people are saying that they never let any one drive it because of how finicky the clutch is and people WILL BURN THE SHIT OUT OF IT.

if treated well, the clutch can and will last the life of the car.
but if not properly operated, it will die an early death

That's exactly how my SiR was. It felt like it travelled 56 miles before engaging, and then still moved another 43 miles before it reached the top. That car I would occasionally stall. My friends would have a difficult time with it too. So glad it's gone- last I heard though, the B16 was replaced with a K20. I wonder how that's going now...

Well, the Oilers certainly got laughingstock-franchise locked up really good in the NHL.

Rookie President who hires a rookie GM who hires a rookie coach who hires a rookie goalie coach...

This is over a team littered with high-picks and arguably one of the most talented rosters. And they are in last place.

Okiedokie. And on top of that, Katz hijacked the city and demanded they pony up to pay for the arena he'll make a killing off of or the Oilers move to Seattle. Nice!

I mean, as a Chicagoan, I admit the Bears are a clown act. But, they don't have like a bazillion 1st overall picks on their roster either.

The two MT TLs I've tried before buying mine were special to drive, but then again I drove a freaking Protégé where you can pretty much not use the clutch at all.

Definitely not the easiest, but at least it's not too hard. Drove a good friend modded Challenger and I had to freaking kick the clutch in. Wouldn't want to get stuck in traffic with it. Was wicked fun drifting it to get on the ramp to the highway though.
Kick that thing in, rev, drop it, you're now Ken Block. Or something.
Never seen a car so careless about letting people drive his cars so that was pretty cool.

the challenger is THE EASIEST CAR TO DRIVE.
the one I had anyway.

you would think an SRT would be very rough daily driving, no. not at all.
it was heavy so it was planted. my acura felt like a go-kart after switching back to it.

but daily driving was so easy. it was tame when you wanted it to be, but push the go fast pedal and you're moving!

I enjoy the "PUSHING/KICKING of the clutch" instead of this weak ass pivot my ankle clutch.
That's probably why the Acura is so hard.

instead of pushing a clutch in, its more like a foot pivot.

Prob would have agreed with you, but I don't think his car was any close to stock. I never saw a clutch that hard. I know what you mean about the ankle thing though, similarly annoying as when you're on cruise control and got your feet near the gas pedal for freaking hours.

He got the first 3rd gen Challenger with the 6 speed in Canada, the car was featured on TV ads prior to the modifications (and ironically got him a sweeter deal because of that) and after he modded the crap out of it until it looked absolutely fierce.
I didn't get to drive it without him sitting next to me, not really because he wouldn't trust me but probably because I'd end up doing something stupid and scaring myself.

I wish I had some pics around, he has some on FB but I deleted my account a while ago. He has some dyno & time slips on there. Last I remember he was trying to get the car under 10 seconds but he could only make so much HP from the supercharger @_@. Didn't drive it while it was pushed to the limit like that though haha

Do you have pictures of yours?

On a somewhat unrelated note, that guy was renovating his bathroom and he and a friend moved the clawfoot tub to the hanging balcony to leave room for work. The balcony ripped from the building and his friend got crushed between the asphalt and the tub and died of injuries later that day. Sick stuff. :|

I'd lie if I said I knew nearly enough about Challengers, I was just privileged enough to be able to drive his a few times.

We went driving in the snow during a few storms with the wagon legacy, he said he had as much fun than with his car albeit differently, it just lacked a bit of oomph sometimes. Maybe if he wasn't a freaking 6'4 300 pounds mammoth. There's so much this little boxer can haul hahaha

Hi Ya'll!

Just a little update. Been enjoying my manual TL type-s for over a year now and it never gets old . 15,000 miles and counting with no big problems. I still have an aspec kit waiting to be installed sitting in my garage

The only problem I am running into lately is with my starter. I occasionally have to take a breaker bar to it and hit it a few times. I need to get it replaced sooner than later.

Missed everyone <3

You know I've been thinking about getting a Charger SRT or 300 SRT. I would love to have a hellcat or CTS/ATS-V but they won't be available til next year, and I'm cheap, will take sloppy seconds on it. If they offer a charger R/T scat pack, that might be interesting as well. We'll see..

Sweet one justn. Did you keep it bone stock? Not that there's usually much to do on an SRT8 unless you want to kill yourself.

As I said earlier, I'll puke if they get McDavid or even Eichel. They do not deserve another franchise-player to ruin. Give it to a deserving team that is better run.

Justin Hoffman in the mofuggin house!

Majofo...I like where your head is at with your next car purchase.
I have a similar list...the 300C SRT and CTS-V Sedan seem to combine the best of everything. RWD, big power/torque and comfort space and luxury. Same reasons I've always loved Grand Nationals. A fast hooptie (sp?)
