The City of Purple (reference unknown), Those third coast players (reference also unknown). Sipping that drink, the texas tea (alcoholic beverage that causes erratic driving while clawing at the wheel). Again, it is June 27th.

Here's a rambling topic: approaching women at the gym.
My policy is to never do it. I've basically narrowed it down to two types of ladies that you'll find at the gym.
1) The kind that's there to actually work out. The kind that doesn't want to be bothered. Headphones in, lift time. Gets extremely annoyed when approached. I've got mad respect for that yo, and if I ran into her on the way out or something, then I might talk to her, but never at the gym.
2) The kind that wears make up and shit and only goes for the attention. She's ugly on the inside so I'll never approach her either.
What are y'alls opinions? I seem to have had this conversation many times over the last week and have not received an interesting response.

couple years back (before meeting the wifey) at lifetime, had luck with some ladies and they were all obviously from the 1st group you were referring too....and the luck was at the pool/hot tub...
again, like Jeremy said....while working out if the eyes meet and smiles are exchanged, you keep lifting and when the workout is done, you meet her by the pool side....
Thats one reason I liked LTF, had a very nice, indoor and outdoor pool AND indoor and outdoor hot tub....LOVED IT....
when I was dating the wifey, added me to my membership at LTF and she loved it as well....we would hit the gym right after work (we worked together too), play a little ball to warm up, she would do her zumba or cardio kickboxing class, I would lift....after an hour, hit the hot tub and the pool....shower and get home...almost 2.5-3 hours at the gym errday
EDIT: when I was traveling to Chicago for the US Cellular project, I used to hit the LTF in Schaumburg....not sure if you have one around you

I go to XSport. It's basically free at $34.50 per month. I've never been to lifetime but it looks very upscale. I just need a building with heavy stuff to pick up and a shower.
The pool/hot tub is a good idea tho. But I swim way in the morning when the place is practically empty. I haven't noticed any attractive Ms. Vlads over there on the reg tho. There's one that pops up every now and then but I never see her again anyway.
There's an LTF in Vernon Hills, VERY close to my job in BG. But I train at various XSport locations (which was the main perk) since there are so many of them and I don't know where my crazy schedule is going to find me next lol.

there a tons of girls here at the KC location....and you will see them almost daily as well...back when I was single, couple friends (male) started taking the zumba and I was laughing at them but the technique is quite good, you see the same chics everyday at the same place
yeah LTF was getting expensive....I used to pay $70/month for me and when added the wifey to the account, it was 110/month...now the membership atleast in KC area is $70/month restricted to ONLY that LTF and $90/month for everything for single and about 150-160 a month for couple....
its a lotttt but then again, they have 4-6 racquetball courts, 2 full basketball courts, wall climbing, pools (indoor and outdoor, fun and lap pools 4 total) and hot tubs, sauna, steam, all weights....you get the idea....
so for someone who actually uses that, its worth it IMO...we used to hit the gym, play basketball (racquetball at times), hit the weights (all leasons and group fitness are included), hit the sauna, hot tub, pool, take a shower, go home...so there was a time we used everything....but now (after the kid), I used to hit the gym and try to be back home in an hour, hence we decided to cancel it and buy some equipment at work out at home
