What about legs bro?! You can't rub one out and not do legs.. I hope you at least did the one leg squat, rub, lift, lunge, rub, switch lunge, rub, other leg single squat, rub, repeat method.

Well, to be honest...my torn meniscus has been hurting a lot lately. I mean injury was almost 2 years ago now...so I realize that strengthening my legs is important. I did do some walking lunges too but after basketball twice a week and starting my "mountain" biking regime again...I don't have to work them too hard to keep them strong. My legs have always been my biggest muscle...well, ALMOST
Third Leg, can benchpress your boyfriend bro.
Sucks about the meniscus. I have fucked up knees. I have at least a dozen patella dislocations on each. Even have a chip of patella and cartilage sitting adjacent to my knee cap. It's been there for almost 20 years now.
I used to workout and see a huge fucking bruise out of nowhere appear (meniscus tear). It wasn't painful fortunately but always freaked me out. It doesn't bother me / appear anymore. Definitely keep up with leg strengthening. Don't overdo it though.. just enough to keep the joints primed and greased and keep the supporting muscles active and strong.

Thanks for that, man. Sorry to hear about yours too.
Yeah, I'm VERY anti surgery. Even took me 6 months to finally see a Dr. and a year to get the MRI. The Dr. then calls me back in to show me what's damaged and pulls up a google image of a knee instead of my MRI and then can't wait to get me in touch with his surgeon. I'm like, yeah, I'll schedule on the way out...fk that.
Went to a hollistic dude that taught me this weird strengthening technique and it's helped. It still swells up occasionally but I'm back to jogging/bball and biking, which was what I cared about. I also have a heel tendon that acts up whenever I play ball...next morning, hard a hard time springing off my right foot.
All those years of having my Mom say stop jumping out of trees, you'll pay for it one day are ringing in my head. Dammit.
I was getting up from tightening up something on my RV6 exhaust in October 2012...had tools in my hand and I decided to use my ninja roll from lower back up to my legs...got up but left leg buckled off to the side. It felt like a rubber band that is overstretched...to prove everything was fine I did stretches and bouncy deep squats down made it a ton worse.
Knee and back I don't fux with.. surgery can make worse, so it's last option for me. I'm already developing osteoarthritis which sucks. When I'm training though, I don't feel shit. It's after when they get sore. I asian squat and sit cross legged indian style a lot. My knee usually gets super tight after and need to walk at least 12 steps to work it out. I've even suffered runner's knee for about 6-8 months which sucked, but most of it works itself out.
I've had two slipped discs to deal with as well.. as well as spraining both shoulders. Working through it and staying active has been it's own medicine. The slipped disc that was high up took almost 2 years to alleviate. Swimming was the best PT in that regard. 4 months of hitting the pool 5 times a week adjusted the back and relieved the pinched nerves.
Biggest issue I'm dealing with now is a pulled hamstring that's now 6 months from the initial injury and it's still mending. It's that muscle that extends from the outside of the hip to the inside of the knee. I might go to the doc for this one. I'm back to kicking but it's still super tight and the geometry of the other leg is totally different. I don't feel the muscle tendon on the injured side. It was one nasty bruise too. Hopefully it healed / mends properly.

Whoah...yeah, you've taken a beating. I know what you mean about the geometry, I did 4 years of TKD.
My boss actually did a split during a work/fun function and TORE his...the scar tissue severely fxored the healing up for him. When we go jogging he has pain etc. That's brutal, but I'm sure if you're just torn you'll heal up just fine.
Biggest hurdle for me is not being 18 anymore where you saw your finger off and wake up the next day and another one grew back
What a drag it is getting old...Rolling Stones, right?

Some dumb fool I went to HS with posted on fb years back that his knees and jaw were super sore (BJJ practitioner). I lol'd so hard. I replied that I'll try not to take so long and ram so hard next time. Fucking posts blew up.. He must have been away, but by the time he saw it there were hundreds of posts / likes.. he immediately deleted the post. Guy was kind of a douche and big dummy. Serves him right.

Your poor boss. What a dummy...
I tore my main hamstring 6 years ago. When it was healing, I was bullshitting with my buddy and I bet him I could kick the top of the door frame. I won, but injured my hamstring doing so for $5.
I bet him 6 months later that I could kick the top of the 10 foot ceiling. I won, climbed table, jump kicked ceiling, fell on my ass.. $5 richer.
Yeah, once you turn 30, downhill. Shit takes forever to heal.

^^^ That looks exactly like Indian green chile LOL
also get your HR up by warming up, if you jog 15 minutes before your workout, you are burning carbs which you need to lift...cardio after lifting is what I do (depending on the day, if I work out legs, I can barely walk, forget cardio LOL)....
I warm up by doing 3-4 lightweight sets....
so if I am doing dumbbell bench press this is what I do usually:
20x10
25x10
30x10
35x10
these 4 sets will warm up the muscle and help avoid an injury
then I do
55x10
65x10
70x8-10
75x6-8
if I am going for high reps, warm up sets stay the same but the main set looks like this
40x15-20
45x15-20
45x15-ish
50x15-ish

it must be some asian/indian green pepper.
I had the last of the pepper infused ribs for my 10am snack!
Damn, J. 205. Nowhere near that.
Dat chicken chest.
Tuesday - Chest & Tris
Wed - Shoulders or Back, usually switch it up from week to week.
Thurs - Legs
Abs when I feel like it
I think I'll start doing shoulders on leg day though. Wednesday will be back and biceps.

Thanks for taking the time Anil...I'm at a point now where I pretty much just ignore all the new "science" on whatever you should do first or second or superset or not superset and do whatever I feel like kicking arse at at the moment. LOL. It's kinda like my diet...I know that having those 9 Fat Tire's and 3/4 of a pizza probably won't help me fit in my 36 pants again...but I still do it. Masochist!
Maj...I'm 35. I feel ya

yeah, I dont blame ya...i am a victim of the same game LOL
about science, I dont let myself get carried away, but just from personal experience
if on a day, my carb intake is very low, I feel weird in the gym....or if I do cardio before my workout, I dont seem to get an intense workout in...
its all about trial and error and what suits you and your body the most...bottom line being, you dont want to injure yourself trying to do something
dont get me wrong, like your chest set, you went up 80lbs in 2 sets...to me that seems like your muscles were probably taking a bad beating...
If i would have done a 135x10 and I feel, thats too low, I would have done a 150/155x10 and then bumped to 185x10 that way its a gradual increase and your muscles try to pace up with ya and you get an extra set in

Honestly, this honey walked in teh gym and i had to show her how strong I am by making really loud lift noises. That's why i jumped up 80 pounds.
I work out harder when I get the cardio done first BECAUSE I'm so happy it's over with

Holy shit am I pissed off.
My coworker just texted me a picture of some fuck here who did this horrid park job:
To go the route of least resistance, I'll see if the scuffed plastic (thankfully, the black part of the bumper) can be restored...but, if not, I'm going to say hi to the fucking dumbass who damaged my car.

LOL...I remember that episode. I loved Al. I even mirrored my couch sitting hand in pants style after him.
Yum...wtf... is right.
Are you parked too far back, or is he too far over the hump?

If this was the NFL...his encroachment penalty would be good for 15 yards and an automatic 1st down.
