Lol I can't reason with my momma either. She's basically openly stated that she doesn't care about my opinions or desires because I'm her son and she's going to do what she thinks is best for me even if I completely disagree. I've given up on that fight.

Woot! Weekend garage time! Have a good one y'all.

Yep...
then they go...oh, why don't you ever call me?

Hmmm...
because I get a lecture on setting up a living will, living up to my full potential, going back to grad school, not taking my flu shot, when am i having kids, marriage, "did you hear about that guy that got mugged at gas station...you don't go to gas stations, do you?"...

I like my stress to be contained at work!

XLR8 shipped the correct length pitch bolt while my car was in the shop.
I finally got around swapping the washers for the bolts last weekend

I'm changing my ATF fluid and my fuse box basically crumbled in my hands. Acura is back ordered for the covers but will it be fine for me to drive with it like that? I do about 150 miles a day so maybe the heat did it?

I'm worried about melting the wires that are now visible

Lol, I'm serious, it literally crumbled in my hands, no pressure at all. I couldn't get around it so i had to move it. Needed one of those bendy things I just went over 130k and this was the first ATF change. The fluid came out with some red in it but the magnet had all of this on it...

Then stuck it back in and then out , this was after the 3rd time...

Sell it quick

Nice Job, Vlad.

Beezle, if it's never been changed, I don't think that's too much shaving. I had a ton on mine the first time too.

That's a lot of fucking metal.

I say if it doesn't die on you after a 3x3, you're good. The metal is not just an indication of wear, but also fluid quality. Honestly, if I had 130k on the trans without a single change, I wouldn't change it.

my first car was an automatic. the tranny died.
would cost more to fix than the car was worth.

ever since then; i have bought manual transmission cars. because cheaper to replace clutch than automatic tranny.

1999 s10 5 speed manual
2002 Dodge ram 5 speed manual
and now my 2006 6MT TL.
