Little Cha also seems to prefer the FX. He tends to complain a bit more in the MINI but in the FX, he's usually pretty chill. Maybe the ride's not as stiff/bumpy. Definitely quieter too.

Yeahhhh...I know I'm like any father...but, he's pretty farking cute. In the ICU, lots of nurses came to visit him because word got out how he was very cute, brave (didn't cry much) and was generally so friendly...and all the nurses loved his hair.
That was him on the last day though...he had enough...wanted to go home.

Again I think I'd hold on to my TL for a while, I rode in a 2013 TL SHAWD, that is a nice car and has the smaller beak...I would most likely for a white one Bellanova or WDP, not sure which they are using now and black out the grill like I've done to mine.

Shoot Yummy I didn't realize you liked cars with issues. You bought a British made car, they come standard with oil leaks and a drip pan, don't they?

Anyhow, the MINI has been going good so far. It is essentially a BMW X1 in British attire...so, we'll see...Maj's comment about BMW's exploding after warranty going up is concerning but generally, MINI owners have been happy with their rides even after warranty has expired.
If anything, my Infiniti has had more gremlins than the MINI to-date.

My boys are 33 and 27 and everyone once in a while I think back to those days when the were wee ones. Savor every moment, unbelievable how fast time flies. Waiting on grandkids now, someday, maybe.
I did not realize the Mini was a Beemer in sheep's clothing. I did know BMW owned Mini though. That should eliminate the oil leaks. Most of you guys are to young to remember the old MGs and Triumphs with their oil leaks. British motorcycles also had those oil leaks. And it was just a few of those vehicles, it was inherent in British made motors.

^^^My Dad talks about most of those cars with a twinkle in his eye...carving the mountains of Switzerland in his hay day. Then again, I'm only a year older than your oldest. Hi Dad!

My son from another mother...have to say though, that looks like a :ghey: . I had a Triumph Spitfire drop top...it was a fun little car, except for the crappy electrics, the oil leak, the faulty fuel pump, the lousy carburetor, the occasional vapor lock...

I always whisper to Little Cha to not grow up so fast...
And I agree that the old British cars were "interesting". Even as recent as the early 2000s, you had Jaguar R-Types that needed exorcisms literally.

I had a buddy who had a Jag...can't remember which one, newer mid 2000s 2 seater with the V12...had that thing in the shop all the time because...it leaked oil. The Jag dealer here is also the Infiniti dealer, he now drives the big Infiniti SUV, the Q56 I think.
Senior Moderator
On a more tragic side, a mother and her daughter last winter was in a QX56 and it plummeted off the bridge and into the frozen river (so, a giant block of ice). Mother did not survive but the baby girl did...I saw what was left of the SUV because they were towing it to the dealership the same day my FX was in for servicing...yeah...
Senior Moderator
One of the best guys I know on AZ (who doesn't post too much - Stapler) has a family member who owns a Jag...
And yeah, that thing had oil leaks...issues...you name it. They were ready to call the Church in for an exorcism of the R-Type. That, and a shotgun to the hood to end its life.
