Jeremy, you wanna have the last word...we know it....now sthaaaaapppp LOL...
Justin, I bet we were all taking jabs at you bud...an none of us mean any harm....you could have gotten 50 bucks and we would have said the same
To lighten the mood, I remember an coworker came upto me and asked "you like modding cars right?"...I mentioned, "I like modding my car"....she asked "well I have a Lexus and the dealership wants $2000 for new brake setup, rotors, pads, lines, fluid flush...does that sound right?"
I effin laughed...I told her, I can inspect the car and change whats needed....After taking a look at it, all it needed was brake pads. The lines looked fine, the rotors were perfect and had a ton of life left...i mentioned I can change her brake pads out and do a brake bleed on the car and it will cost her less than 100 bucks and all she needs to do is cook 1 dinner for me....
we have been married happily for 2 and half years and have a 4 month old
EDIT: didnt know we had moved to the next topic

Computer security is best likened to an onion...you gotta have multiple layers. That's the general crux of it.
Now, to your specific question (try my best to answer): Antiviral applications such as McAfee/Norton scan your operating system (i.e. Windows 7, XP, etc.) routinely and actively (known as real-time) to look for malicious programs that may be infecting your computer.
Java security was implemented to mitigate vulnerabilities the Java-platform has been known to have. Malicious programs can also attack your computer via Java's vulnerabilities. One way is the security level you're describing. By setting it at high, you are essentially telling your computer to not allow any applets and Java-based programs to run; period. By setting it to medium, you're given the ability to decide if you want to run an applet (a type of Java-based program).
Antiviruses cannot control program-based security levels.
I tried to water that down after a loco day at work as best possible. Hope my babbling makes some sense.

in short, Java security (depending on the level set) wont let programs branch/access info/websites...
for example, if you have work VPN on a personal laptop, when the VPN client tries to connect to work network and negotiate security policies, at times it wont connect since it clashes with the Java settings....

Thanks to both of you, it makes perfect sense, my wife switched the Java security to medium, voila, ask permission to access the site.
The check is in the mail....
Yes
Definitely, I've even watched a little women's hoclkey.
I agree, the biathlon is cool, I'm not a big fan of the "judged" sports. I would rather see competition against other athletes or the clock.

I was being sarcastic about Anil's post above. But I changed what I wrote to match your confusion. Justin's in space, there's no helping him.

Yeah, I got that...Justin is a battler tho...determined that the kid wouldn't use the HKS.

You just need context, I convey my thoughts perfectly lucidly. I forget you don't know where I'm coming from when I write something.
