i guess no one is educated enough to discuss spring rates.
Chapter Leader (Southern Region)
We can discuss it for 6 months, or you can just do it. You want us to add a poll maybe?

yes, my car is almost ready.
Dennis, i see you. its almost ready. Almost. ALMOST. like today. dennis, dont whoop my ass.
its almost ready.
Im thinking about buying my friends TE37's and I cant buy some wheels without being dropped.
so, when my car is ready, ill switch to the TE37s and give Dennis' wheel back, then hopefully the coilovers come in, so im not 4x4 for too long

the insurance adjuster called me last night saying he inspected the car and all is good.
its now the shops turn to hustle and bustle and get it aligned.

I'll interject this.. TE37s are nice.. and yes, it looks much nicer dropped. But aside from the spring rate / load, you'll be changing the driveline. You have to consider the load angle on the driveshafts / CV joints.

iTrader: (1)
i'll probably keep the cv joints straight to lessen the loads.
almost like inaccurates

Will he get stuck over speed-bumps? That's all I care about.

I'll probably keep stock droop levels as well.

Shiny bling bling spinners, right?

idk.. Justn.. I'm guessing the TE37s are at least a grand, plus BC's.. another grand. $2k worth it?
As long as you don't fux the TE37s I'm sure they'll hold their value. The BCs.. you'll probably never see a return on them. Is insurance going to cover any of this?

Get upper camber kits, spc rear 1 arm, keep it simple, spc adjustable balljoint front. Get back to oem camber AND be low, hopefully the TE are a weak offset so that you can run a beefy tire since you're performance based. Justin, if you're serious, I pointed Dennis over to a guy I've made friends with at BC Racing. I'm SURE he can tell you what spring rate to go with for what you're looking for. I'll text you his address.
Funny, I thought BC was buddy club...so I emailed this dude when I needed a set of spanner wrenches...he's like "this happens a lot...we're bc racing" and he pointed me to buddy club and was super nice. Kept in touch and shared pictures ever since.

the TE's will get me out of the bind with dennis.
insurance replaced a wheel and probably put on stock tires.
so, I'll have 2 mismatched tires with different tread levels on 2.
the TE's come with tires.
not sure about the coils yet. thus the questions.
and my driving isnt in question.
I do have a problem with alcohol and driving.
these past few months have been sobering, literally.

If not, unlikely...I recall a friend of mine smashed his nicely done up M5 awhile ago with Alpina stuff he installed. Insurance gave him a nice followed by a PFO and said they'll only restore with OEM parts.

the TL has EXCEPTIONAL ground clearance, try lowering an S2000 ( )...huge difference between stock/aspec suspension height and being maxed out...even just leaving yourself a 1 finger gap (use uranus to determine this) will have a HUGE visual impact and effect on body roll in corners when you're curb dodging.
Edit: Justin, check your email and be on the look out for a response from Andrew. I'm sure he'll get you squared away with what spring rate will accomplish your goal.
I feel you on the drinking...no laughing matter, glad you're getting a handle on it. One day it's a tree or curb but if you don't reel it in it could one day be people or something...

Yum, no sir. I park in a garage at home and locked lot at work and have various security measures. As far as if I crash, I have all my oem items to put back on the car in the case of a total loss so I'd be able to sell a lot of my mods. I've never been delusional about the fact that modding is a total waste of money.

rockstar, the te's im looking at come with stretched tires. lol
and I know that modding the car is a waste of money too

Heck, my robots are probably in your views an even bigger waste of $$$$...and in many ways, I probably can agree on that.

18x9.5 with an offset of +22
perfect specs for the TL.
i want to change the color, but we'll see how white and silver play with each other
