Got some seat time in the C63.. fuck.
That was a bad idea. So fucking excellent. Couldn't fuck around in it but I almost drove her home. It's actually a lot bigger than I thought. Tons of trunk space. I sat in the rear and front driving position, great leg room and head clearance. The fucking driver and passenger seats are no joke. Those fucking bolsters have a fucking kung fu grip on you. The slide out infotainment is cool.. it looks like a fucking map pocket though. Car I looked at had carbon fiber trim which is fucking sweet. I don't think it's a wrap either so probably $1-2k extra. Ugh.. then I start crunching numbers and I'm still in a stalemate. Insurance is about $100/mo for 100/300/100. We'll see.. my only concern is depreciation in the next couple of years. I want to hold my cash and get a low interest loan. I'd hate to owe 20k and it be worth 15k. I guess that's not as bad as owing 55k and only being worth 30k.
You can grab a 2006 C55 with decent miles for less than $10k right now.

Cheap insurance indeed! Maj must be a perfect driver or the deductible is high as hell. Cars depreciate like crazy.. It sucks. Maybe you should get one a couple of years old that's been taken care of well.

To be quite honest, I think I'm going on a bigger penny pinch after getting some seat time. I've been sacking away about 25% after tax not including 401k. I probably spend 10-15% on bullshit I don't need to be spending money on like lattes and bags of nuts..
I put some money in stocks, but waiting for self-correction. When I hit the mark, I'm going to buy. Be it AMG or GT-R, it should be fairly epic.

I have researched extensively on maintenance, general issues and found a service manual. I might get it ahead to make sure it's legit. Changing the oil is interesting. The filter is actually mounted top-side and you reuse the enclosure.. you just change out the medium and o-rings. It uses ~10 qts of oil so need to double up on those deals.. I mean, I already do but it's for two cars.

Dumbass mounts a dish on the front of a rental house through the siding...runs the cables allong the siding for 24 feet. Homeowner pissed, buddy gets salad tossed, hires me to replace the siding. Unrelated to everything: Damn the TL is floaty on slushy/icy snow. The price to pay to have a FWD V6. I miss the lighter cars I've had in the past and I looked at my things correctly and I won't be getting a winter beater this winter.
