As a single, Whistler and Bamff are riots. But, the latter is also apparently the STD capital of NA...so, have fun at your own risk.

Aspen is one of my least favorite areas in Colorado...too many uber rich folks. There is not one piece of property is Aspen that is less that $1M. I will say there is a whole lot of single women trying to lasso a rich boy. Fav is Keystone...very easy to navigate the mountain, a lot of intermediate and a bit harder terrain. I don't like the bumps, just not any fun skiing that way for me, get tired too early. Best mountain for powder in CO is Steamboat, very nice bottom of the mountain apres ski also.

Never been to Canada skiing...why would I with Colorado and Utah so close.

Note to self: stay away from Banff.

Ah, good to know. I didn't realize how snooty Aspen is.

Whistler doesn't really have that vibe but there is certainly $$$ property there. Same goes for Banff and Canmore...

And just because there's a pile of STDs in Banff doesn't mean you can't enjoy the park for what it is...it's GORGEOUS. If you haven't...you owe it to yourself to visit that place. I don't hype things that often and I'm hyping Banff...it's worth it.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to visit 1-2 a year given the distance and each time, it's breath-taking...and the drive is like no other.

Yummy,

I went to Loveland Ski Area. It's probably the closest one to Denver and probably the smallest (or one of) ski area there. It's super convenient for weekend trips, the lift tix were dirt cheap ($35 each) and it's super close. Can ski there for two days and still not have to take a vacation day from work.

I've been looking at the various ski areas, combo passes/pack deals and I'm definitely going to hit up Keystone and Winter Park next season. I love the bumps tho.

And I spent a week in Steamboat last year. It snowed like fuck and it was absolutely glorious. I love that place but boy is it far from Denver compared to the others.

Ah nice...I'm guessing there are piles of ski facilities throughout Colorado. The weather is probably milder than what we get up here in Canadark though.

I think last week would've been beyond frigid if you were skiing in Banff/Jasper...but, the old saying is once you get going, you don't really feel it since skiing is such a good exercise.

Fark...one of my analysts has been coughing all week. And now, I feel somewhat fatigued and funky in my throat.

I think I'm going to fire her for this "gift". Grr.

I've only skied Loveland once, it was not a fav plus the I70 shuffle coming home, freaking road is like a parking lot. I go the back way from Colorado Springs through South Park, yes that South Park. 2 hours to Breck, another 15 mins to Keystone, a few more to Copper, and another hour to Vail. If going to Steamboat that is a destination...go like Thursday evening and comeback Monday. I think it snows all the time.

If you like deep and steep, Wolf Creek, gets the most snow and many difficult runs with bumps. Its a long way from Denver though, aboot 4 hours one way.

A good small area close to CS is Monarch...about 1.5 hours, uncrowded, cheap, and usually good snow.

The big areas...Keystone, Breck, A Basin (where the real studs ski), and Vail offer a season pass which was $400 this year, unlimited at the first 3 and 10 days at Vail. $400, pricing that out is equal to 4 days at the those places cuz the dailies are $100 a pop. Have to buy the pass prior to Oct.31 tho, then it goes up to $550 I think. Still not bad for a ski junky.

haha yeah man that I70 is a bitch going back. We stop in Georgetown to return our gear and pick up a bunch of snacks at the gas station on the way back. There's always a group of people in the car so the time goes by pretty quickly even though it's at a standstill most of the way.

I actually visited South Park two weekends ago. What a poop hole. I was like, wow! There are literally four streets here. The church is called "Worship", the Yoga studio is called "Yoga", and the store is called "Store". They just have one of everything and none of it gets a name.

Definitely getting that pass for next season.

Great, now I have to think about something.

Wife hit me with the you have too many projects. (Really 2 projects isn't alot) Was going to get a 1st gen TSX to mod. She said I'll let you do whatever you want to the Accord (since she's the main driver) if you DON'T buy a TSX. I asked if I can get bags, she said yes, as long as I DON'T buy a TSX. So I have the C-10 project going on as well too. Am I allowed to continue to work on that?

Do I buy a TSX or do I mod the loving shit out of the Accord. $150 ish a month for a TSX or $150 ish a month to mod the Accord.

Happy wife/happy life. Guess I answered my own question.

Didn't you say lower, wheels and stop?

Modding a C-10 is different then modding a car Plus father son project. Not all my monies is going into it.

Save for a kid, I already have one, with another one the way.

I haz a car mod addiction. I need to go check in somewhere.

My experience is to focus 100% of your time on a single project until it's done. It's way less efficient to be working on multiple things at once and the overall time will be increased. That's why I still have a motorcycle in pieces in my garage.

Almost done. Need some small adjustment with the closed state (so close!) and a coat of paint but otherwise I'm done with the switchblade key mod.

Yeah, it's a good bottle. Not bad for something under $100.

Nah, if it's a cold bug, nothing but to let it run its course. And I can always call on my sister if I'm THAT ill...

Will head to sleep earlier tonight and hopefully shake off whatever's weighing me down today.

There's a lot of good alcoholic beverages to be had under a $100 really. The price does not always dictate the quality and taste, I've had many sub-100 bottles of whiskey, scotch of rum turn out much better than $300 counterparts.
