the trip is $4k all inclusive.

timeliness wouldnt apply in my case, as im not actively looking for a house, just saving for a house.

$4K to see all those countries, all inclusive including tours, lodging and flight (assuming not food or drink or smoke) is a steal, man...Europe is expensive as heck!

DO EEETTTT!

Fk it, buy a house in 2016 or 2017. Living at home ain't so bad except for your bro dunking your toothebrush in the toilet every morning!

food and drink is included!

partying is not.

its a guided tour for "students and teachers"

a teacher friend hooked it up and we'll be travelling with another friend our age.
so, it'll be fun to go out and see Europe's night life, when we're not on the tour.

Whatever, man...Betty and I spent $2500 to do our little Cali trips. Even at 5K INCLUDING party (Crabs likes to party)...that's not a bad price. It'll be an experience you won't care to put a price on later in life too. Sh*t like that builds the memories and the person you'll be.

Would you be going solo...or you have wingman?

For the coin, Globus tours are well worth it. $4k is pretty high, I hope that includes RT airfare. The Globus tours include most meals, hotels and guided tours are top notch (4-5 star). They're for those that don't want to hassle with planning a trip but want a lot out of it.

I honestly don't like guided tours. I feel like they just shuffle people around like a can of sardines. I say fly there, find a place, explore on your own, pay for a guide yourself if you want. You'll get much more out of the experience that way than standing around waiting for the bus, eating pizza from the hotel restaurant. Many tour operations really prey on travelers who are scared, lazy or spoiled.. sometimes all three. Don't be hesitant because you don't know the language or are not used to getting around.. everyone will find their own way.

Globus at least affords you to travel in comfort. Single guy like you though Justn, who doesn't mind spreading his crabs in a hostel can travel Europe on the cheap.

I think most of his points will still stand...
logistics of such a mammoth trip are what kinda turn me off. I like the idea that everything is set up and ready. Although I'd likely skip a lot of the tours to go explore alone, as suggested.

right, i'm not a "student" and possibly can do whatever i want, as long as i dont miss the bus!

I think it highly depends on the the company doing said tour. I don't think EF is a bad one so you shouldn't worry. Just stay away from the crappy Asian ones... When I went back to Vietnam (mother country), my parents wanted to see Singapore and Malaysia. We went to a Vietnamese tour company that booked everything (flights, hotels, meals, etc.) Unfortunately exactly what Majofo was saying is true. They put us up in the crappiest hotels, crappy food, and we just hit up all the usual tourist spots. You're stuck to this crappy schedule without much deviation.

With a little research, I think you can do better than a tour company but in your case Justn, just go with EF I don't think they'll disappoint

PV = nRT! Blame chemistry for the sudden drop in temperature and thus the decrease in volume...

They probably market the shit out of the educational value and experience, but on the back end they making bank. A classmate of mine's family business is a tour operation back home. They make so much money it's absolutely ridiculous and the vendors they visit get the shaft. They cut their margin so much.. but if the vendor complains, they threaten to just go somewhere else. There's a shady side to some tour operations. Classmates company make up to 400% margin.. like say you want to go scuba.. oh +$1000, yet the scuba shop only gets paid $250 per person. All the tour operation did was shuffle them to the dive shop.

That EF tours doesn't say much about the specifics on accommodation (what hotels / restaurants they book). But it does include airfare.. you must be going at a peak time. It does say for every 6 students, the chaperone / teacher is free. Just find 6 suckers to go and be their craberone.

Betty and I hate locking into a committed routine for a vacation in advance. We normally only book the rental car and a hotel for the first night we're staying somewhere. That way, we can split early (or not even stop) if we hit a place we're not into...or stay 2 nights somewhere we love. Seems crazy and there have been some evenings where we have a mad scramble to try and book a hotel from their parking lot...but it makes for an adventure and we always have a great time.

Pretty counter-intuitive for a guy with a planner and as anal as I am...but it works.

Spontaneity and adventure is the spice of life! Sounds like a legit way of doing it to me! Damn I need a vacation

Not sure if that's running away from zombies or working. Cause fucking work is hectic as heck this week. About to quit this shit and find a place that realizes I'm worth more than micromanagement bullshit by the boss son who's snarky as fuck.

Really, this is a place of work. Can we get shit done instead of jacking off all in a circle, calling it a meeting, then whining when we're overloaded with work?
