The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Part 2)
Get 06-07 335i...you can dew it!
My price range is around the $70K-$90K CDN range for the next car...similar to the FX. But, I will stick to my 10-12 year ownership window before I consider. Not breaking my rule.
I would like to go more but that's asking for it. Although, reading the Canadian press recently had me spitting out my tea: morons who think the cheaper gas equates to an opportunity to "upgrade" their current car and buy big-gas-guzzling luxury cars.
Cuz, hey...a recession that's being predicted is for losers. Keep spending.
And of course, there's the Suncor announcements of layoffs...I wonder how many morons living paycheck-to-paycheck in their $1M homes suddenly are pissing their pants?
Nothing more needs to be said about people seeing the opportunity of cheaper gas to buy more expensive cars but forgetting everything else that comes with those AKA higher price for maintenance.
Without wanting to get in your personal life, would you mind telling what you do for a living?

Guys, you need to watch your language here.
Yes, it's a Ramblings thread, but let's not get racist. I'd hate to hand out Winter vacations for bad language....let's have some tact here.

MAYBE I'll get a 06-07 335i in 2-3 years.
My guess is all of the above.
Well, if you've read some of my rants in the past, it should give you an idea what I do for a living. But, I'll say this: If I were a dentist/doctor, fark...I'd be in a Porsche 911 or GT-R faster than you can get an extremist offended by a cartoon drawing.

Doesn't help that Target just fired 17,000 people. Granted, it was due to a failed new market entry, but that's 17,000 people without jobs now. And Shell fired 500 people because of oil prices. It's only going to get worse.
And yes, those people looking to upsize their vehicles because of cheap gas are.. uh... *thinks of wording Steven Bell would be okay with* ...retarded. And seriously, that's putting it nicely.
4) pharmacist
5) Asian restaurant owner
6) drug lord and/or gang boss
7) dry cleaning business owner

If you keep spending, there won't be a recession! Stimulate the economy!

A few observations:
The supply chain clearly sucked. What was with the empty shelves so common during their first few weeks of opening? The pricing model was also clearly not planned. The Target most Canadians know from the US is one with some savings and items you can't find anywhere else...Up in Canada? Nope. Why bother when there were other established alternatives in Wal-Mart and Canuck Tire?
Even more stupid was the fact Target was dumb enough to buy out all of The Hudson's Bay's former Zellers stores. Firstly, these old stores were in meh locations generally and secondly, their structures were not of the same cookie -cutter layout ALL US TARGETS were.
So, you essentially opened a bunch of department stores that were Target in name and nothing else.
Good job...
And to your list you had? #4 and #6 are the same.

So, being familiar with Target from back "home", the ones they deployed in Canada was of the WTF-variety. I'm pretty sure if I was the head boss of Target, I'd fire the entire management team that implemented such a flawed and full-retard deployment of the chain. Being the wacist that I am, I am sure the steering committee was full of gwai-los who only know how to flap their lips and talk and talk and talk and have zero common sense.

Not usually a good model when people compare you to a lesser Walmart.
As long as it's not Infant Toucher.

meetings here extend for whole part before lunch. yap yap yap yap
Valuable time spent jacking off pretty much.
I thought target's prices were pretty good I never actually shop for best priced bargains though. I'm too gwailo for that. I didn't buy overly much at Target, but there was one across the street from my work and it was always a nice change vs. walmart.
