The key part is the same. One would need only to cut out the chips from each key. Toss the '07 chip and JB weld or silicone it in the plastic part of the '07 key where the chip was taken out of.

cool
FLBusa ..
I don't think I'll ever actually wanna do this mod, but I have to pause and say, congrats on all your hard work and dedication to the forum-goers. There are a handful of "fickle" members on this board, as Kennedy stated, and they can sometimes forget how much work goes into a process such as you've undertaken -- all they see and wait for are your posts.. and figure you've got no life other than to contribute to this forum and create a product.
At any rate, I'll get off my soapbox, thanks for your hard work, congrats on your success.

I ordered the $35 "25" driver1 which should give me what I need, and I also ordered the $35 "22" driver2 to see what actually comes in . . . . . we'll see what gets backordered . . . .

Now to business, I think you should count us (people who said they would buy one here before the flood gates opened) before the JCLs (johnny-come-latelys) LOL. I sent you a PM also.

I for sure want in to do this, however, I have a problem. At the e-store you can only have the key shipped out to your local Acura dealer. My problem is that the nearest dealer is about 2-hours away in a town I rarely visit. I can't justify putting off work and losing half a day to get a new key for my car that I don't necessarily need....
Any way of getting around this and having it shipped directly to me? Busa, are you going to be ordering a few Driver1 blanks yourself for people in this situation? Any advice would be sweet, thanks for all your work!

However... all the wrinkles have been ironed out and no one will have to make any compromises. Whether you're #1 or #100 you'll get a key that's 100% minimum.
Hey Everyone...
I just wanted to make a post that will answer a few questions.
Thanks to everyone for the support and the props.
Pricing...
I can't publish any pricing as of yet. I still have to work out things with the Mod's / Admins. It'll take a little more time but in the long run it's better for everyone.
The Key...
What I do is precision mill the raw '07 key blank to the specifications of the '04-'06 TL key blank.
This is the '07 as you would get it from Acura.
When I'm finished... It looks like this.

It's essentially what Acura would sell you if they decided to make '04-'06 TL folding keys.
Will it work in my car?
More than likely... YES
Here's the models that the key and chip work with.
3rd Gen TL's.. (2004 through 2006) Remote Works
TSX.................(2004 through 2006) Remote Works
Accord.............(2003 through 2006) Remote Works
CR-V................(2006)
Element...........(2006)
Odyssey..........(2005-2006)
Ridgeline.........(2005-2006)
Pilot.................(2006)
How do I get one?
You'll have to wait until the project has been sprinkled with Holy Water by the Admin's. After that there will be a post (possibly a sticky) that will have all of the details.
You can PM me if you want, but to be completely honest a lot of people want this key so... Right now I'm just putting people on a list (my inbox fills up pretty quick so check back if it's full, I check it quite often and make space when needed) .
I also have around 20 keys coming in within the next few days to get a jump on things.
What do I do once I get my key?
Locate a locksmith in your area or take it to the dealer. They will cut the key blank to match your existing key. The chip also needs to be programmed. My locksmith used a hand held programmer that plugged into a port under the dash. It takes around 5 minutes to program the key into your car. I paid $40 to have my key cut and programmed. Somewhere between $30 and $60 seems about right. You'll have to shop around.
Once you are done...
You will have a key that is just as strong and robust as you would have if Acura had given it to you upon delivery of your car with full functionality and no compromises in quality.
Lastly...
Please don't PM me with questions that I can (and will) answer here. Not only will you save me time so that I can get your key to you faster... other members will benefit as a result.
I'll keep you all abreast and no one will get turned away.

isn't the 07 modded Key already cut from you?
FWIW
I just ordered a key (#35111-SEP-306) from hondaacuraworld.com (Ray Laks). Of course backordered till first week of January but price was $33.35 including shipping.
Called my local dealer first. They have one in stock @ $100 including cutting + ~$100 to program it.

Easy to deal w/... I don't think it's on their website so you are going have to call them which is 1-800-RAY-LAKS (there wasn't even any holding). Took about 3 minutes total.
