I didn't read through all of the threads, but after looking at the TL-s on acura.com I like the interior of the 04-06 alot better as far as the guages and lighting are concerned. The blue lighting looks ALOT better than the red IMO! The new guages look like the honda civic!

I called up a broker in Seaside California and asked about the TL-S and he said according to his shipment log he is going to get this 1st tls around November 15th. Why the heck did they send out that email.

Does anyone read this

I think the spedo looks cheap, they should of left it the way it was and for the type s maybe the current one in red

2006 vs. 2007: Someone make me feel better!
I bought a 2006 TL w/ Navi on Saturday and I have to say that I'm 99.9% satisfied with this car. It's freakin' great! But on Tuesday, the dealer got in the 2007s.
*blink, blink* Did I act too fast? What did I miss? Would they have sold a 2007 TL for the price I got my 2006 for? ($32K)
The real-time traffic would have been neat, but a friend put it into perspective and said, "But where do you go that you'd need it? The traffic in LA is always bad!" And when I mentioned the backup camera he said, "Like you wouldn't look over your shoulder anyway?"
Excellent points which helped me feel better. And I'm not too terribly excited by the exterior styling changes and I think the new display looks a tad cheezy/cheap. (Woo-hoo! The MID buttons are on the wheel! Yay?)
But THEN I read that the 2007 comes with a new automatic transmission that allows the driver to use SportShift to force the car into first rather than how the 2006 auto-shifts from and to 1st and 2nd.
*cries, stomps feet*
One of my favorite features on the TSX we have is that I can force it down into 1st and it FLIES! Granted the TSX doesn't take corners ANYWHERE NEAR as well as the TL, but it would have been nice. (Is it just me or is the TL nearly perfectly stable when cornering a right-turn at "high speeds"?)
And out of curiosity, maybe someone knows: The "L" setting on the tranny... just what gear is that throwing the car into when you go there? It seems logical that it would be no lower than second, but it seems like when I down-shift to "L" from "D" that feels zippier and more powerful than if I were to use SportShift to go into 2nd.
Thoughts?

You see - my 2004 Accord had the integrated key-fob thing and I LOVED IT! Not having to always worrying about the key fob thingy banging against the steering column. It was nice. Then when I upgraded to the TL last November I realized that Acura didn't have it (but Honda did); I was really disappointed that Honda would give the Honda brand that type of key and not their upscale version of cars. But, of course as I'm realizing about Honda is that they mix and match a lot.
So - I have to wonder also if the new key-fob key will be able to work with the 04-06's. Would definitely like to know....

"L" on the gear selector stands for "Low." When you put the gear selector in "L," the tranny downshifts to and holds the lowest possible gear for the current speed at which the car is travelling. If you accelerate up to a velocity above what's allowable for the current gear, the tranny will hold the upshift to the next gear (it will hold the current gear until redline before upshifting).

And as far as the cornering, maybe it's just me, but I whipped around a right turn this morning at a high speed (I don't remember how high, but I figured "Aw, give it a try!") and it was remarkably smooth and stable. The TSX corners well, but never feels that stable. I don't know how to explain it, but maybe it's the fact that the TL has a wider platform. I felt car more confident doing it than in the smaller TSX.
Prol'ly all in mt mind.

Guess I should just learn to love the TL I have...
...and I shouldn't be looking at the 07's! hahahaha. Always want what I can't have, you know? LOL.

GO DAWGS!! SICK'EM!!
alright, just got a call back from the services manager at the local dealership that the new 2007 TL-S Keyfob will work with the 05 TL's. He explain that he will have to reprogram the new key with the 05 TL. That should be easy a DIY if it is the case.
I am going to call the parts depart. tomorrow and see if they have them in stock...

Tint The Windshield
If so, TL1999 that would probably be worth starting a new thread for a DIY or something? Let us know if it works ... I would do the same mod as well.

its just kinda plain to me, and I don't like that slant they give the speedo numbers.... really not that new since the RL has pretty much the same kinda look on its speedo
