Mine was making the same noise till last week when temprartures below 50. The day I took the car in to dealer, it was around 70 so they could not replicate the noise. But they looked at the control arms and could not find any visual defect. So I am going to wait and see if the noise comes back as tempratures lower again.

I have experienced morning low temps in the mid 20's to mid thirties with no issues relating to suspension components.

Had the front lower control arms replaced today. Dealer said mine was the fifth Rdx they have had to do replacement. So far no more noises.

Mine started making noise again with the drop in temprature. Planning to taking it to the dealer on a cold day so that they can replicate the issue. Did the control arm replacement solve the issue for others?

Got mine looked at today. SA confirmed the noise is coming from the control arm bushing. They showed me the bushing while the vehicle was still in air, as I wanted to make sure it was safe to drive and all parts look ok visually. They told me they had tried replacing lower control arm on 4 other vehicles and 3 of them have reported the noise again. So they have informed acura and stopped replacing the lower control arm. Acura is working on the fix for now. They have documented the same for me and nothing much can be done at this point. Hopefully acura can figure this out soon along with fix for squeaky brakes.

Haven't taken my Advance in for its first service yet, but I have had the same suspension noise that everyone here is talking about. Will call them ahead of time to see if they are doing the control arm replacements.

Mine is 3 months old with 3100 miles and it is also making the suspension noise. I am so tired of this car! I think I'm going to take the hit and dump it now. Time to get rid of this piece of junk. Too bad. I'm very disappointed in Honda.

UPDATE : Got the rear control arms replaced by the dealer free of charge (car under warranty) two weeks ago and the squeaking problem seems to have gone away (even in temps below 30). In fact I believe the overall ride has improved. Will see how long it lasts

Interesting. First time of heard of the rears being the problem. The fronts on mine were also replaced two weeks ago with no noise since.

Replacing control arms at less than a year ownership.

If that's not poor reliability, then I don't know what is.

Has nothing to do with reliability, it’s quality control, also it’s not as if the control arms failed, they have a minor noise in cold weather, has nothing to do with reliability

Front left control arm replaced last week, no more noise. The technician explained to me that on the faulty control arm, the rubber bushing was rubbing against the frame. On the new control arm, the rubber is less "longer", so it doesn't rub against the frame.
The part # on the new control arm finishes by 4 and the one that came with the car finishes by 3, so there was an update on the part....

I don't get that logic. You had a defect part that made some noise (which can potentially lead to failures down the road) it wasn't an adjustment at the dealership because the factory turned the wrong nob or forgot to screw in some bolts. You can argue that's quality control issue. But you had an entire parts replaced....

Regardless, better quality control = better reliability.

The end result is the same, you spent time at the dealership getting things diagnosed fixed/replace. If that's not reliability issue then we can just agree that we disagree on the definitions. No hard feelings .

Just started to notice this noise last week after the dealer trying to fix the clonking noise by replacing the right rear shock (which did not address the issue).
Adding this to my list for the next visit...

Yes, mine sounds like it is coming from the rear too. I am going in for service tomorrow morning, so will see what the dealer says.

I was waiting for the updated part number. Can you please post old and new part numbers? My dealer said they would call me when the new part is available. If I can get the updated part number, I can call them myself.

For those that got their struts or control arms changed... how is the road travel noise now? I brought mine to the dealership with the same noise complaints, only to have them "lube" up the front struts. Told the tech that it ain't going to fix it, so we'll wait and see. So far, been to the dealership far too many times for a brand new car.

Add me to the list - had the front driver's side control arm replaced about 2 weeks ago. Noise improved but didn't completely go away.... just had the front passenger's side control arm replaced today. Noise is completely gone - time will tell if the noise comes back.

Call the dealer and was told that lower control arm part is in back order. Guess too many RDX need them so badly.

Luckily my dealer had front lower control arms in stock and replaced both on the first trip to them about this issue. No noise since the replacement over a month ago.

Nearly 50 today in Chicagoland and I heard the issue. Seems to be front drivers side (and maybe passenger side as well). Too bad I was just in for my A1 service - will have to bring this up next time I’m in.

Thanks to this thread read for verifying my concern that this was not normal or expected on a brand new $50K car.

I have heard the noise when it was raining last month in southern California, now that the rain is gone, it is not there anymore.

I too have this problem -- sort of sounds like squeaky springs. Probably started a month or two ago.
It's very noticeable over speed bumps, with the squeak coming from both the front and rear suspension.
Every now and then, it squeaks with small bumps, like with potholes or fixed potholes.
It's annoying, but it's so inconvenient to bring back to the dealer to fix.

I had same issue in February this year. Took two trips to dealership. First time they replaced left control arm, and second time they replaced right control arm. After that noise was gone till recently I can hear sometimes, but not as much. I'm just little disappoint, but still love my car.

I noticed front left creaking noises over speed bumps the first few days I had my car. My family's auto shop suspected it was the control arm bushing some have mentioned. I took it to the dealer and of course couldn't replicate it and they couldn't see anything wrong. I learned to live with it (I don't hear it if music is playing) and noticed recently (5 months in) that the noise is pretty much gone.

For everyone who has actually had the shock or control arm replaced, did the dealer also re-align the car?..seems to me it should be re-aligned anytime the suspension is disassembled like that.

yep dealer performed an alignment after my control arms were swapped, anytime major parts like this are pulled an alignment is needed, they covered the alignment cost too

2019 RDX Rear Popping Noise

I had the front wheel suspension noise over speed bumps a month into owning mine. But another month or two later if stopped without any kind o service.

In the past week or so (at about 6k miles on
mY RDX), I noticed a pop when turning into my driveway. I’m having trouble placing where the noise is coming from but it sounds like it’s happening inside the cabin on the passenger side (maybe front and/or rear) Relieved (I guess??) that it’s not just me. If I slow down and go gently into the driveway, if doesn’t happen. I have turn left a bit and go over a bump with diagonal lean to get into the driveway. Curious what others experience or have to say about this

Update 2019 RDX Rear Popping Noise

So. narrowed down the popping sound in the 2019 RDX: After several weeks with dealer, tech finally came to my house and sat in the back seat. The popping sound is coming from the back top left 3rd pillar near the airbag area. Tech at the time was driving a loaner 2019 RDX, he said he heard the same noise that morning on hos way over. He plans on taking apart the loaner car to pin point the noise and get back with. I'm wondering if this is a spot weld issue on some RDX's.

Oh interesting! The pop does sound like it’s something inside on the upper corner of the frame that is literally popping out of place. Bummed these small random things keep arising but I still love my car

Mine is more like a clunking sound from that area you described. If you lightly pound that area (driver side ceiling at the rear cargo), you would hear the sound I was talking about.

They adjusted the back hatch, however still get the pop /knock sound (upper frame area 3rd left side pillar) when pulling out my driveway making a left onto the street. Happens exactly when the rear tire drives off the driveway lip. Only happens once or twice a day, usually in the morning.

Back at the shop.

So is that the hatch that makes a noise ? Mines does the SAME THING. I turn left out of our driveway and I get a little pop/knock noise only usually the first time I drive it in the day, but I notice it every single time, sounds like it’s in the back of the car on the driver side
