2019 RDX A-Spec Brake Problem/fix

Just recently purchased a 2019 RDX with 37k miles. It has the typical low speed squeak that goes away once brakes are heated up.

Local dealers are wanting $700+ to replace front rotors and pads. When asked if after market parts like Power Stop rotors/pads will work, they say only OEM.

Question for masses is, has anyone actually found a fix to this issue? I’ve searched the forum but haven’t come across a solidified fix.

Mine is also a 2019 and the dealer replaced the front rotors and pads under warranty, but the squeak still came back after a few weeks.
I've continue to complaint to the service department every time I have the maintenance done there and so far no fix.
The brakes stopped after braking for a few times, so I just ignore the noise.

Had the same problem when I had my 19 A-Spec. Solved it by going aftermarket from R-1Concepts pad and drilled/slotted rotors. They are lying when they said only OEM. Go aftermarket.

I had my service advisor at the dealer I go up to look my VIN up to see if this squeak would be covered under warranty. They also said it would come back, it always does, no matter how many p&r replacements or pad slaps they do, it always comes back. He had mentioned it's something to do with the composition of the rotors themselves. I'd go aftermarket too.. once the lease is up they're getting swapped.

I’m going to try a PowerStop rotor and Akebono ProACT pad swap soon. Hopefully it’ll get it of the squeak😅

Personally,, when people used to complain about brake Squeeler,, it was because of the high metallic content used in the pads most the time,, most easy fixes were to go with a ceramic type pads instead of metallic ,,,if you can find one for you application. …

wow, $700, what a rip off. If you go to curryacuraparts.com, you can buy front disk rotors and pads for $300 total. You then go to mechanic and he will install it for under $200.
