Hondata for 19+ RDX!

Wondering if anyone has purchased and installed one yet? They're available as of 01/31/2019.

Ktuner also have theirs in Beta. I might try that one instead since I have used it before. Also it's only $450 for the v1.2.

Yea, $700 is pretty steep but you pay for the history and reputation of that product. I'd be curious to see how the KTuner performs as well

Hondada and ktuner are both reputable.
$700 is not bad considering all other car related upgrade cost as much after install fee. ktuner also have a $700 version called V2, it is an all in one device with LCD screen for upload tune and stat monitoring while drive. But I am not a stat freak so the lower end v1.2 works for me.

It is a rabbit hole. Once you get used to more power you will look for more power. It will never end. Lol

I had the same problem, kinda in reverse. I bought a new 2007 Camry Hybrid, and for years, I had to keep getting better fuel economy.....

Yup it's a rabbit hole lol.

And ya the mid range torque increase is noticeable if you step harder on the gas, especially after each shift up as you accelerate.

Hey guys, I heard Hondata tune is not street legal. You could only use it on the track. If caught by the police you are in a world of trouble. I mean what’s the chance of getting caught? Even if you get pull over for traffic violations I don’t think the police take a look at the ECU?

This is post is for information only. I don’t intend to mod my RDX anytime soon. Maybe after the warranty expires.

lol.

in order to sell in all 50 states, the manufacture of the aftermarket part HAS to signify that it's an "off road" modification.
it's a way to skirt around the CARB(California Air Resource Board) law.

and there is NO way one can tell that you have a tune on the car.
Only Dealerships can tell. once they hook up the computer to the car, the computer will flag or notate that the ECU parameters were changed/modified.

We were really excited about these 2019+ RDX Flashpros as well. The OG Turbo RDX was a great fun SUV and the 3g was the successor that was always needed IMO.

So does adding this void the factory warranty since the dealership can tell it has been used? Curious as it sounds like it would be a fun modification to make, but I don't want to do anything at this point that would void my warranty. Thanks in advance for the info!

Yes it would, unless the item to be warranted had nothing to do with the powertrain. Sunroof motor stops working for example.

How do you select to engage the tune mode? can it be made to where you turn the dial to select the other modes between comfort, snow, sports, sports + and then turn 1 more to have the hondata mode?
