you don’t need to disassemble the trunk.
ive installed mine a couple days ago.
remove trunk door arm plastic cover driver side.
connector exactly under it. Also wire is long enough to insert module. If you want detailed picture let me know I will post them🤓

When you step on the brake, the third brake light blinks 3 or 4 times, then stays solid. It's suppose to be more visible to a following vehicle.

My dealer installs the module on every vehicle they sell, then try to get a bunch of money from the buyer for it..I forget how much. I declined, and they just left it. I always forget I have it as I never see it in operation

I personally hate blinking brake lights when I see it on other cars. Its distracting. If it would be such a great safety feature, it would be mandated by DOT in all new cars. I really hope they make it illegal and start ticketing people. There are reasons why lights are regulated, otherwise you would see all kinds of blinding/distracting light modifications.

Yeah, I don't HATE them but I do dislike them. I used to be much more critical of so many things...now I just say to myself, eh...not worth getting upset over...
With everything that has changed with the pandemic, (INSERT HUGE SIGH) ....I am just happy to enjoy time with my family...and hope all stay safe, and we all get through this. Everything else seems so......petty? I am NOT judging others,, just expressing my feelings at this time.

Hate is a wrong word, but its annoying and I find it distracting rather than something that improves safety. There might be states where its illegal to have, but I am not 100% sure.

Its definitely annoying for me, especially in bumper to bumper traffic where you're trailing the person for extended periods of time and every small little brake they make you get blasted in the face with flashing lights as if they just made an crazy hard brake. Just put yourself in the shoes of the person behind you who is trailing you for more than 15 minutes. It gets even more annoying at night. If they implemented a pressure regulated system somehow where it strobes when you slam on the brakesit would make sense and I'd look into it but if it just strobes every. single. time. you hit the brake then no it should definitely be a ticketable offense since people with epilepsy here can drive.

agree, lights should be regulated because it impacts others. Its distracting to other drivers.

I'd love to see the pictures of how you did it. I'm not following your instructions.

High brake light connector

Are you refering to the plastic cover that goes over the arm/hinge on the diver side that has a pushin pin connector on the outside of the plastic cover?

Oh wow too easy

I hadn't seen one with the connectors already on it, way easier that way then the universal one I'd seen.
Thanks for posting the link.
