Clock Recall which messed up infotainment system
So I brought my car in on 8/28/19 to fix an issue pertaining to the drivers seat not moving back the proper Driver 1 setting. Was told the actuator was defective. When I picked up my car the next day I was told there was a new recall that they became aware of that day having to do with the clock not working properly. They installed a software update intended to fix the clock issue, mind you I did not have, & now because of that update nearly all my favorite's are gone from navi. When I tried to add them back I got a message saying they already exist when they don't. Sound familiar? Also I can not move the position of the favorite's for home screen, the radio or navi, a problem the last update in February had fixed.
So I guess the moral to this story is, if you get a recall having to do with the clock, not have it fixed. If you bring your car to the dealer for any reason, even an oil change, be sure to tell them not to act on the clock recall. AGAIN I FEEL LIKE ACURA'S GUINEA PIG OR LAB RAT. Oh by the way the dealer has no idea when the next Acura update, all has been expecting since March, will come out or what it would aimed a fixing.

Besides the issues I mentioned above on 8/30 as a result of the dealer performing recall to fix a clock problem some had (I did not have) my AcuraLink is no longer working as it had been. I'm no longer able to download an address from the AcuraLink app. while I'm in my home & connected to Wi-Fi to send to the car. What I rec is a message "Send to car Failed Please try again." The only way I'm not able to send directions is if I'm in the car & connected to Bluetooth. Strange because I had such an issue prior to the last mid Feb 19 over the air software update but that update fixed it.

Just a thought.....
Is your Acura-Link still active? We get so much free and then they charge for it. I don’t use it, but just a thought. Other threads here are discussing the update and what you describe about losing your favorites is discussed there. Maybe we can all get together and see if we are asking the same thing in different ways.

glad to hear I'm not the only one with issues using Wi-Fi to send directions to Acura Link. I also opened a case # but am not holding my breath they will get back to me or simply say reinstall the app. When I did that last year I lost all my prior downloads.
By the way, I checked my car last night & turns out the dealer clock "recall update" they did 9/28 was in fact the new D.1.1.4 firmware update that replaced the one from mid-February.
