Infotainment TSB

Guys,

I just got back from a dealer now to address infotainment issues. Dealer said Acura just notified them a TSB fix is coming soon. They did nothing to my car. SA said he put my name down and will contact me as soon as the TSB is available. He said it requires a dealer to perform and not an OTA update.

This is my second trip to the dealer for the same issue. I put off with the constant issues just because I don’t have the time for an appointment.

I think we'll all believe it when we see it. Keep us all posted and, if it does become available here shortly, will it truly fix all of the issues that have been discussed adnauseum in the many threads on this forum??? Time will tell but let the class action suit begin

Promises Promises.......Sign me up for a class action suit. If not, I only have 2 years left on my lease and will for sure be turning my RDX in at the term end and be ending my relationship with Acura unless this buggy infotainment system is 100% fixed.

"Miserable being must find more miserable being. Then is happy."

I'm almost giddy that Citroen ( perilously close to citron = lemon ) beat out Toyota in the JD Power survey.

OTOH Hyundai is eating Honda's lunch. Go figure.

Huh. I wonder if Brits bitch about different things, or what. But Hyundai is still eating Honda's lunch. Go figure.

I'm also looking into the Palisade. With how popular the Telluride has been, the problem will be finding one.

Not familiar with the “TSB” acronym pertaining to infotainment issues. Can you educate me? Also, I’ve heard the new 2020 RDX that it beginning to sell still using the update version we rec’s in Mid Feb. Also, the issue about Android’s version of Car Play not working, was not addressed.

I have an Android phone. I can't wait 'til they install Android Auto, so I can have the same problems as everybody using Apple CarPlay.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin. They are sets of instructions issued to dealers for resolving issues that have been identified. Software updates, recalls, "campaigns" ( voluntary recalls ), "product updates" ( when they really don't want to use the "R-word" ) and other lesser and/or less common issues will TSBs associated with them.

They are not specific to infotainment, they can be related to any vehicle system.

There are sticky threads kindly submitted by EE4Life that document TSBs applicable to RDX. Take a look.

If we ever get AA, I’ll be watching for a few months before giving it a try. This RDX is almost problem free if you stay away from CP and SeriusXM.
