Sounds like a software bug that gives an incorrect sensor reading and pings a indicator light. Update software and problem solved?

And DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code. The code is stored and can be retrieved with an OBD ( OnBoard Diagnostics ) "code reader" or the fancy proprietary Honda/Acura version, the HDS ( Honda Diagnostic System ), to give some indication of what is wrong or believed to be wrong.
