Hi,

My acura mdx 2017 advanced suddenly started showing emission systems problem in the dashboard and also electrical parking break failure. Could you help if some one else faced it and also if there was any recall associated with it? I didn't get any notification from acura. Reading the web, it appears this can cause car to stop suddenly.

Get your battery checked. The second multiple electrical issues crop up my first guess is a bad battery.

Weak battery can cause the computer to throw a false positive code wherein a problem doesn't truly exist. Hence why the suggestion to replace the battery first. Your car is too new to have emissions problem just yet. Try that, and then if the light still exists, then we can diagnose further.

Then next, plug in an OBD2 scanner and read the code to see what it is.

 

What ended up happening ? I encountered this exact problem yesterday and I am so worried.

 

common problem.. it may go away after a few weeks of driving. make sure you put top tier premium gas.
