2014 MDX Keyless System all jacked up
Hi. New to the forum and looking for any help or suggestions!
Yesterday morning I went to check the fuel level in my 2014 MDX. I entered the car with one of my fobs in my pocket and pressed the Start button twice without my foot on the brake to get into Acc+ mode to check the fuel level. I then pressed the Start button again to turn the car off. Things on the panel seemed a bit weird and I noticed that the Keyless Access System Indicator light went on for just a bit.
I went back later and neither fob would start the car and the Start button didn't respond except once in a while resulting in lights flashing and a weird clicking sound, but the car did not start. The brake pedal seemed really hard too. All really weird.
I looked online for help or tips to no real avail, but tried different things including pulling the battery from one of the fobs and trying the "dead fob start procedure". The car got into ACC mode but is now stuck there and nothing seems to get the Start button to respond. Can I reset things somehow? Should I try to disconnect the 12v battery?
Thanks for any help or tips. I will call my local dealer too but figure they will just want my car towed to them. I am not sure how I can even get it out of my garage as the shifter will not move.
Eric
