Hi,

I've had my TLX V6 FWD for about 3 weeks now.

Very happy overall with the car.

Every few days or so, in the morning when I go to start it for the first time, the break pedal is locked (can't press it down) and therefore when I press the start button .. the message in the display says press brake and start button. I can't start the car. I never engaged the auto parking break nor does the 'P' appear.

My work around has been to get out of the car, start the car using the remote and then shut if off ... this appear to release the break pedal lock so that I can push it down and start the car.

Any thoughts?

The 2014 MDX also had this problem early on. If I remember correctly, the solution was to replace some booster in the brake. Cold weather makes it worse.
