Hi All: this is my first post and I've searched the forums for specific information regarding my 2012 MDX.

I'm looking to install a RFID Push Button Start with Keyless Entry. It's mainly for my wife so when she's got the 2 kids, she can just leave the keys in her purse, get everyone in and start the car. It'll be easier than her fumbling for the keys in her purse with 2 screaming kids.

I've researched products. Autoloc makes one, but it gets pretty sophisticated with the Can-Bus wiring. I was going to have a 3rd party install. I called dealership, but they wouldn't do it.

Has anyone else done this? Are there any safety concerns??

I would also like this, my wife has it in her Altima & it's really helpful when you have 3 kids.

 

Of course the factory dealership won't do it.

By interfacing any 3rd party electronics into the factory ignition/fuel system, will automatically place that dealership in serious liability issues, if so happens in the future that the 3rd party electronics malfunction and cause starting problem or worst still, engine stalling in the middle of a busy highway.

 

If you get it done would love to see pics and read about the journey getting installed and how it's working for you.

 

I would also hear and see the results.
