So is the CT-Engineering Ice Box the best punch for the price? Or should we wait for Injen?

Has anyone out with this intake had it dyno'd yet? I was wondering if the numbers are the same as the company claims. Dyno sheets are very easy to change before they are shown to us.

hey guys, seeing that some of yous are getting the Takeda CAI and some r waiting for CT icebox, me personally i'm looking to get it custom at a performance shop here in AUS, i've brought the car for their head mechanic to have a looked at, they said it's doable, won't get much gain at all cause of the MAF sensor, but they can custom whatever how i want it, so basically an aluminium pipe CAI with an apexi filter at the end, cost about the same as the takeda CAI roughly, but they're just waiting on response from other guys that they're looking to get an "adapter" for my MAF sensor, not sure what this "adapter" is going to look like, cause i thought if they could custom the pipe, they could've custom the mounting area for the MAF sensor just like takeda did... not sure why they have to "wait" but yeah, im pretty excited to see how it'll all turn out

Injen

I was just on Injen's website and they have an intake for the 2.4 honda engine? Would this work with the TSX?

yeah, they use "build" date and "model" date as well

so 08 build 09 model... but ppl still call it a 08 Accord Euro CU2 anyway if its build on 2008.. weird? :p

anyway, any1 willing to create a complete review of this intake (as CAI or SRI)? really appreciated

Hey, I'm new here (not new to Honda/Acura in the least though). I joined up here for this thread specifically and really am going back and forth on this intake. I heard from another forum (I think .com) that the creator of this intake came over from Injen. I'm a huge Injen fan and have already reached out to them about an intake for our 2G TSX's, I got the typical canned response that there is nothing but keep checking back.

Has anyone recieved this intake yet? How is the quality of the pipes, fittings, filter, etc..? I find it hard to believe that hp gains are this high but if you have it how does it feel? Even an experienced driver should feel a few extra hp in their car.

Thanks!

AustinJay

Sorry I am a dumb ass I should have looked on the second post down.

Now that I have seen the dyno sheet I was wondering a couple things

1) The video is gone and I could not tell, do you have a automatic or manual.

2) How many miles did you have on your car when they installed it

The only reason that I ask is you are the only other person that I have seen that has had his car on a dyno. I am trying to compare starting numbers.

Thanks

AustinJay drives a CBP Tech 6MT model just like mine. His original thread for the CAI is https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-performance-parts-modifications-299/cold-air-intake-installed-711957/

Sorry to bring this thread back from the DEAD again, but inquiring minds really want to know.. Those of you guys that have the CAI do u feel the increase cuz 15HP YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FEEL A DIFFERENCE? Has anyone Dyno'ed with and w/o intake to see if takada's numbers are in line with real world numbers?

Has Comptech came out with a Icebox yet, It did take them a few years to make one for the Typs-S back in the day so I am guessing we will have to wait a few years..
Does anyone else make a CAI for the 2009-2010 TSX, I think 15 more HP would be a nice treat, and this is a easy bolt on that I can just take off and sell when my lease is up!

[quote=StonedCL;11552877]Has Comptech came out with a Icebox yet.

CT-E has pretty much finished their intake. I would expect it to be available towards the first part of the year. I posted Dyno numbers in the thread about it. I am also wondering about the Takata intake. It took a lot of work for CT-E to make the power that they did with their Icebox. I have yet to see any Dyno numbers other than what Takata put out.

I have the Takeda, great sound decent power. I also did the TB coolant bypass. Only issue i had was with the coupler and tightening the clamps to tight eventually cutting into the coupler. Called takeda and they sent me a new one no questions asked just something to look out for.

nice .. this might be my first post here.. But I'm tuning for well over a decade (and not in a moderate way). How would you verbally compare the sound to it's stock form.. also can you feel a decent increase in the tq from the base rpm end? the 500-4k area? (One of my favorite things a hondata reflash netted you in other honda/acura's).. What I would do for a nicely tuned ECU in my TSX
