OFFICIAL Hondata Flashpro Calibration/Tuning Thread
#921
Here's the calibration. I took Dime Feng's 09-10 5AT map and copy/pasted all the values into a clean 11+ map. I haven't seen any real problems and I've been using the calibration on my 2013 tech for over half a year now. I've seen some random phantom knocks... but I suspect this is just road noise or noise/vibration from the RV6 PCD that I have. Also when I'm on WOT, shifting from 2nd to 3rd, there's a sudden loss of power about 1s after the shift is done, then the RPMs begin climbing back up. I realized this isn't related to the map at all, but rather a shitty side effect of owning an automatic transmission (torque converter lockup).
Mind you, Dime Feng had quite a few mods going, so YMMV. Good luck, and let us know how it goes. BTW, where'd you get the Icebox from?

First, I'll like to start by giving thanks to everyone here for the great work done trying to support this part of the forum. I don't really post much but I try to read almost every post when I've a free minute ortwo.
Now, my car engine is 100% stock (11/MT) and most likely it will stay that way. However, in more than 4 years of ownership always hated evil rev hang. I know I can get Flashpro and a tune from VitViper but I think this is a bit overkill in my case. And, to be honest I don’t really want to put myself in a position in which I’ve to drive like that on open public roads.
So, here's my question for those with Flashpro:
Can Flashpro control the overrun throttle compensation (OTC) and fuel cut delay (FCD)? Or eliminating rev hang involves more than just decreasing OTC and FCD values?
Thank you!

Flash pro will NOT get rid of rev hang for our cu2, I've tried.
Also a warning about mr. vit. Don't expect him to fix problems that came from his tune. He left me high and dry with a bad cranking issue and local tuners don't want to fix it because he tuned it.
His "I tune your car like its my own" line is bullshit.

I wonder why other tuners wouldn't even look at a cranking issue though?! that's weird to me.

Didn't you post a video on YouTube with the rev hang gone? I'm only on cal 1.3 so I don't get on it enough to really see if it's gone but I believe Rev hang is eliminated with flashpro see it with the 9th gen si everywhere

[QUOTE=YZ450;15563866]I think 11-14 tsx has rev hang and 9-10 don't. My 2012 defiantly has it. I tried decreasing it through the "overrun fuel cut delay" but I just makes the motor jerky when letting off the pedal. Even with it set at 10, I still noticed rev hang.
#933
Because no body wants to "fix" somebody else's tune. Especially an etune. Good tuners have shit cocky attitudes. I spoke with a few local good tuners and they all had large egos and taked negative about etunes.

You probably never had rev hang to begin with. I even asked vit if he would get rid of rev hang during my tune and he told me that there's currently no option to get rid of it. So it's either you never had it, or mistaken it for something else or it's simply a placebo effect.

He didn't refused. He did try but he just stopped helping me after my tune was "finished". He told me to troubleshoot it myself but I don't really know what I'm doing.
This has been very stressful for me. Even though the car drives great, the cranking thing kills all the excitement. I can feel my blood pressure go up everytime I go to start my car.
In his defense, I'm sure something like this is difficult to troubleshoot over the Internet however, I wish he would be more involved with me since I didn't have this problem before his tune.
I feel abandoned.

Granted... you don't exactly know that you wouldn't have the same problem with any other tuner. He sent you an initial calibration just to start the car, and it was there immediately.
#939
Nah you still cray... I had horrible rev hang bone stock..

Agree with Jaheri. It can be quick/easy to blame Vit because the issue started since calibration 1. But that was also the first startup with the SC right? Could very well be an installation/mechanical issue.

Sounds to me like it could be something wrong during the installation
And to those who have tuned with vit
I'm on cal 1.4 im assuming it goes all the way to 5.0?
If so I think I gotta invest in the priority if not its gonna be awhile lmao

Finally finished Vit tuning!
Long process tuning with Vit. But completely worth it. Each tune usually feels better than the one before but the last few really gets exciting. I ended on 3.0 for those interested.
For those looking to tune with Vit I can tell you a few things. Be very patient. It will take allot of time. Vit is nice and good to respond right away to questions but he is also a man of few words. first day you sign up you are ready for your TSX to become a super car. It took several days for tune 1 and seemed at first it could be faster or slower louder or quieter. He has a process so it's not like each tune will be better. He also does not explain the difference between each tune or were your at in the process. I kind of learned to look at each tune and use the comparing button to follow along.
I will say I did get frustrated at the end and paid for the faster services. This helped allot as I had stopped for months and then finished up from 2.1 to 3.0 in about 2.5 weeks.
I am stock with only a CAI intake so I would assume the more upgrades you have the longer it could take.
Again worth the time and money now I just want to drive.

Good to hear, 3.0 sounds a lot better than 5.0 since we are running the same mods also shouldn't be any different I assume... Thanks for the input

Flash pro/ oil consumption recall
Has anyone with flash pro gone in for the oil consumption recall? What did you do lock the Ecu back up by unregistering from the car. Flash stock calibration, leave current tune installed?

Just finishing installing a KTuner system that I got from RV6 and I'm happy to inform that rev hang is 100% gone. I don't plan to get a tune as I just wanted to get rid of rev hang.
The flashing was really easy to do, just had to change the Overrun Throttle Compensation setting from 100 to 0 and play a bit with the fuel cut delay and that was it.
Now the car feels like it should have come from the factory.

Ah okay. Glad iselfdevi got it fixed nonetheless. Just wanted to clear the air that this is really out of Vit's control and if there's any sort of blame going on, it shouldn't be towards him!

That's wassup dude!!! Glad you found and fixed the problem. Now... Time to change out your starter lol

This whole hard start experience has made me really bond with my car. I feel like we have already been through a lot haha.

Yeah I never blamed him. I just wished he was more helpful in troubleshooting my situation. After some googling and research, it seems like a common symptom with injectors that can't hold pressure.
