real world milage
If you search around a bit, there's a fairly recent thread titled "King of MPG" <---LINK that can give you a pretty good idea of real world MPG.

Actually, it's pretty accurate combined. I used to get anywhere between 30-35MPG combined highway/city. Then I got a CAI and now I get anywhere between 23-30MPG. It depends heavily on driving styles as well
I'm getting around 24-26mpg depending on which readout you trust. I would say this is about 40:60 (freeway:city). My '09 TSX's digital mpg readout seams to always be about 1-2mpg higher than what I'm actually getting from the pump (comparing actual miles driven to gas put in until the automatic cutt-off engages). I'm not sure which one is accurate since I assume that there is error in both readouts.
However, on a long 100% freeway drive @ 70-80mph, I got around 32mpg.

I average between 22-24 with 80-90% city (normal average speed between 24-26). I have only taken one trip and averaged 34.6 for 90% highway.
The MID reads high roughly 1 to 1-1/2 MPG vs. manual (phone apps) calculations.
~5600 miles on the car.

Those numbers are real.
The AVG # displayed on the MII is just the estimate, it could be off by 2.5 mpg.
Again, it heavily depends on the driving style and the conditions.

Correct, well at least for me they're "real". That's hand calc'd miles traveled / gallons filled.
I have found that the MID is about 0.9-1.2 mpg higher than the calc'd mpg on each fillup.
For anyone looking to track their mileage, Fuelly.com is a great site. They have mobile apps for Android and iPhone too. Makes entering the fill up pretty damn easy.

Fuelly a great way to track
I'd say 70%+ of my driving is city, but difficult to track... so like others have mentioned, I use Fuelly to track all my gas for my '09 TSX manual.
Average for the life of the car is 26MPG. (see link: http://www.fuelly.com/driver/gwickes/tsx)
Mileage can be affected by:
1. hot weather (when A/C is on, MPG goes down)
2. cold weather and snow
3. driving approaches (how hard/fast you drive)
4. amount of stop and go on highway (due to accidents, traffic etc).
With these and other factors, I just take the long term average of the car and feel it represents a pretty true expecation for mileage.
I also have a RDX '11 (front wheel drive) and tracking that with Fuelly. Its avg is 22MPG so far... but has benefited from a bunch of highway driving we did this past August(where get about 25MPG on highway... if we stay in the city, it gets 20ish)
Cheers, Grant

Lifetime mileage of just over 6,000 miles is 26.9 mpg. Thats a good blend of 50/50 town/highway.
I get as low as 22 around town if I drive a little aggressively. As high as 36 mpg on a flat road at 70 mph.

Well one thing I can tell you...even when i drive recklessly with lots of "vroom vroom" and "VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!!!1!!11!"'s in S mode, the lowest I've ever seen was 18MPG which is still better then your RDX's...LOL...trade you my K24Z3 for your K23A1.
I'm really anal about tracking mileage, so much in fact that I fill up the wife's CU2 because she won't track it for me.
