hahah LOL.
I'm actually going to be in Hawaii in two weeks of a friends wedding. Maybe I'll like the new TSX after I get back from Hawaii!

For me as a purchaser of 2 Acuras, what has been so disappointing is the bland body "re-design" after seeing the sports4.
In addition, the new TSX has grown to same length as Camry...and with similar design lines. I can almost deal with the HP downsizing.
The sport4 offered hope for a 2+2 personal sized Lexus IS, A4, BMW-3 or MB 300 Sport.
Unfortunately, we received a rehashed camry/saturn priced at a premium and almost a foot longer than the above mentioned IS, A4, BMW & MB300.
I am so very disappointed with honda/acura as i've been so satisfied with my current and previous Acuras.

The size of the 09 TSX is better to be compared with the Infiniti G35 than the Camry. The TSX is still smaller the TL for instance and is less than 6" longer than the IS.

I returned my '04 TSX late last year, after debating whether to hang onto it until the '09s are shown. Nevertheless, I've been interested to see where Acura takes the new TSX, and have been checking here for updates now and then.
Honestly, I'm disappointed in the direction the TSX has gone, for many of the reasons already posted here over the last dozen or so pages. I still look forward to seeing one in person, but frankly, I knew when I saw the pics and read the press release, it wasn't for me anyway.
I don't know if this model will be as popular as the previous one (I have my doubts), but if it isn't, I hope Acura will take some time to understand why.

By the way, on Acura's official Preview site there's another picture of the TSX hiding behind the curtains. I extracted it from the flash. It's a pretty lousy picture, and from it we can tell that the TSX... looks just like the Euro Accord from the side. Shocking, I know.

Of the 15 cars my wife and I have owned, I've only once changed the wheels and that was to go +1 on the old MR-2 Supercharged. Obviously I don't get it?

I dunno, I'm still waiting to see one in person before I allow my opinion to solidify.

I didn't notice the fender flares when I first saw the car, but now they keep turning me off more and more. I agree that it looks like ours is 'barely contained'. It just looks.....better??
I reserve final judgement until I see one though.

Agreed. The new Accord sedan is IMO a good example of a car that didn't look good in pics but IMO looks pretty good in person.
Then again, I loved the styling of the current gen TSX from the first pic we ever saw.

Does anyone think they're more of an afterthought (the fender flares that is). It looks like that was the last thing they did in designing and they just got tired and decided to say "Oh look, it's 5 o' clock. Time to go home."...or at least have that attitude towards it and didn't put ANY thought into it.

The new Accord sedan looks very muscular in person. It looks great in darker colors as well.

If the headlights were flush, I wouldn't have one thing bad to say about that car's styling.

One more thing, people seem to forget that the cars are designed years before they hit the roads. I believe that the styling of the Camry was influenced by the sports 4 concept and not the other way around.

There will be official announcements by 10:00 ET tomorrow. XM will be giving a press conference on the NavWeather system in the TSX at that time.
I expect to see more pictures first thing tomorrow.

Expresses the 09 TSX perfectly.

Here's a question for y'all. Honda says the new Accord is going to beat the 3-series in Europe. Is that just because the 3-series sells with a much different engine mix across the pond? If BMW has to start bringing lesser-engined cars to the US because of CAFE, will the TSX look ahead of the times?
