Thanks a heap for this DIY guide! I just installed all my bulbs in last week and it's looking great.

Also, all the bulbs he listed fits in my MY11 CU2 if anyone wants to know.

Has anyone tried changing out their reverse and parking lights to polarg 7440's white bulbs? Also, the rear parking/turn signals blink hyper fast with LED bulbs but not the front?

All of your bulbs are hyperflashing. I am assuming ur front buls are still stock, therefore ur rear led lights are just blinking faster because leds can turn on/off faster. As of right now I am rocking hyperflashing switchbacks

Oh I didn't change my bulbs to leds...was just wondering if people did change the parking lights (both front and back) if they all hyperflashed or not...seems like the vled switchbacks don't but I wasn't sure about any other led.

remove the trunk liner in the inside of the trunk. 4 plastic dowels and one screw. takes less than 2 minutes to remove the bottom half of the liner and you have full access to the license plate lights. very easy to get to.

Slowly compiling all my bulbs to do all the conversions in one day. Will take before and after pics. Just a quick question, no one's changed out their turn signal bulbs or reverse bulbs to polarg or some other brand? There's a set of no brand white 7440a bulbs on ebay but I want to see if they're as bright as polargs or not...

Just installed the map lights and the door lights, I have a taupe interior.

The map lights... the white is just too harsh. It doesn't look very good. I'm going back to the yellow lights. However, the door lights are fine as the white LED.

Thanks!
Same with me! If I actually read through the whole thread first instead of skipping straight to buying the bulbs, I could've saved myself a few bucks. I thought it was just me that couldn't fit this bulb in. I tried the front lights and they fit fine so I just had to order another bulb.

Sorry Neil, the housing is pink. But yes...real men wear pink.

Best bet is to scour some junkyards, ebay or craigslist your area. I think that's how defcon got his on his '11.

I looked into getting rid of the pinkish taillights but realized its meant to understate the back of the car. Personal preference really.

Which chrome piece are you talking about? The only chrome I see is the one covering the license plate bulbs/housing. Both the reverse light housing AND the turn signal housing are both pink. You'd need completely new lights to get rid of the pink. Or you can get red vinyl and cover at least the turn signal so it'll completely be red?

I prefer to leave my vanity lights stock even though they don't match an all white LED interior because that way should those lights ever get used, they won't blind the user.
