Just wondering if the bulb size is not states on TSX manual book? they sure have it on our CU2 manual book...

also, the feston bulb size to be use is 31mm, 36mm will be a bit too long and might not fit perfectly.

Thanks to Manitou and others who have contributed to this thread. I was able to change my dome and map lights to LED.

I'm now looking to change my door lights, but I'm concerned about changing them while they're on, and I don't know how to turn them off. Does one have to disconnect the battery before changing these bulbs, or can you just pull them out while they're lit? Since they're in the door, they're always on when the door's open, right?

Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Edit: to make my own contribution to the thread, the plastic piece covering the license plate lights is actually attached by clips. I used a putty knife covered in tape to pry it off, and it was straightforward. Once you get one end up, you can see where the clips are.

Also, you can remove the covers covering the license plate lights by hand. The covers are actually labeled and you push in the direction of the arrow to get them off.

Awesome just got all my lights in my car, i ordered off of ebay from the warden-jp2002 guy, pretty fast shipping just a lil over 1 week and i got it in Calgary here. I actually deviated from the list from the first page a bit, i ordered the Vanity 2 Power SMD LED (warm white) instead of the xenon white, because i thought that the xenon would be too bright when using it in the vanity... but sadly the warm white is very yellow and very close to stock but brighter... also instead of the lights that was suggested for the doors i bought 2pcs 168 194 W5W Wide Angle 6 LED (White) Wedge Bulbs, because people were saying that theirs had a weird circle when the light shot on the ground, so i just gotta wait till tonite and its dark out too see.. i'll get some pictures tonite also, but overall very satisfied with everything, the guy has good communication and replies fast

Hey guys, never used ebay before....how would you go about placing an order of multiple items from warden_jp2002 or would you have to purchase each item individually?

I just purchased all my led's from him yesterday and just selected the ones that had free shipping. I think total cost was like 56 dollars for 4 vanity, 3 map lights, 4 door wide angles and 2 plate lights and 2 cargo area lights...

I just bought it one by one, and then it just adds a discount onto it for ordering multiple items

First Acura, First Post, LED Conversion

This is my first post...My first Acura as well. I used these forums a great deal prior to purchasing my new car and also when performing the LED conversion on my car. I found the information very useful and just wanted contribute back and provide my 2 cents on the LED conversion for any other new comers out there looking for information.

The LED conversion is easy. Took me 15 minutes to do the doors, the vanities, maps, dome, trunk, and license plate. A couple of notes on installation that may differ from suggestions and recommendations that I read from other posters:

1. The door lights do not require "prying off" with a screwdriver. Just grab the bottom of the plastic lens with your fingers, push up and pull out.

2. The license plate lights can be changed from the inside of the trunk lid - No need to pry anything off from the outside of the car. Pull the 4 clips along the top of the carpeted trunk lid, peel down the carpet, and you will see the housings for the license plate bulbs - Pull them out, replace the bulbs, and push the housings back in.

Thanks to everyone on this forum - All your posts made my decision to buy the Acura and perform the LED conversion myself a lot easier.

RPR, How do you like the blue leds for the doors and dome compared to the white ones. I have the white ones everywhere and just wondering how the blues would look.

That's too damn bright at night IMO. Don't you open up your doors at night and get blinded by the high intensity LED's?

you really dont have to add another light unless you want it really bright, what i did was remove the panel on both sides unplug the power connector twist and remove the little oem led plug, now all you have to do is unclip the led from its housing and drill a hole through the black housing clip this is what blocking the light from going through once you do that just put everything back in reverse order and you good to go now i got nice blue lights without adding anything. check the pics out in my photo album.

Hey guys quick question - do I need to turn off the lights when I change them out? and how would I go about doing that, specifically the doors since they are always on when the door is open?

you can press the black buttonlike thingy on the side of the pillar when you open the doors that will shut the lights out and yes you should play it safe and turn off the dome lights.

Sorry I won't have my car for another 2 weeks but does the button say anything /have any symbols on it? And which pillar are you referring to exactly? Thanks in advance!

when you open your driver side door dont get out the car now turn to your left on the outside of the door opening or frame you will see a metal hook or whatever you call it that the door locks into now look a little lower below that and you will see a black 1 inch plastic button that is the button you press to shut of your door courtesy lights, i hope this helps you if not i cannot explain it any better lol. if you need some pics just let me know i can post it on my album or i can email it to you.
