flank lights shine sideways, and no there is nothing for the glove box unless you get inside deep or drill a hole over the covering

Flank LED's shine sideways. The one u listed for the trunk would shine >>>> instead of down...

The bulb connects sideways so if you have the forward firing (from the point of view of the connection side) then the light will shine to the side of your trunk instead of downwards. VLed's bulbs might be bright enough to shine sideways AND illuminate your trunk...don't know.

I made the switch to flank led. Should be here in a few days. Total was 75 shipped including the 20% off.

I would of rather save some money on leds, but everyone I asked said vleds are they best.

Get a small glasses screwdriver. There's like two ridges on one side or one ridge I forget. Just stick the screwdriver into the ridge and pry it gently. It should just pop out. They're right at the edge of the panel.

ok so something has been bothering me a little since I've had my LED's in these past few months so i thought Id ask it here. Did the leds you buy for the map/dome lights end up being slightly blueish around 6000k? Because the ones I got for the doors/license plate look perfect, a more pure white around 5000k. I thought it was because I ordered my first set from HK, but my second set(from the US) for the map lights were also 6000k. Anyone have the same problem or can recommend an ebay seller who's LEDs arent 6000k?

Try looking for LEDs that say it's a "warm white" color. I think the rest usually say "cool white" or something like that.

^ from what I can tell is warm white is closer to incandescent, around 4000k which has some yellow to it.

Not sure what to tell you man...I think they usually come in 6000k'ish...the ones I've seen are all usually blue, 6000k white, red or the incandescent white that you mentioned. If you find ones that are 5000k white (pure white) post in this thread...I might be interested in purchasing those as well.

I will probably be buying some more DE3022 LED's for my parents new Pilot soon here, so ill report back if they come out to be a cleaner white than the ones i currently have.

The door/trunk/license plate LED's I got that were a really pure white were from the seller gteperformance and the link is

I did this for my 09 and loved it, and just ordered some lights to do with my 11. Has anyone tried the inverted LEDs for the doors? the jpwarden site says that they aren't as bright, but have a wider area of light coverage. I ordered both the inverted and the regulars, so I'll probably experiment unless anyone has tried with terrible results.

also, shipping seems a little bit cheaper if you buy from his site directly (and you can do it on one order):

I'm not sure. it was only a few bucks, so I figured I'd give it a shot. it looks like one is convex, and the other is concave, but I don't know what the real world differences are. yet.

Warden_JP2002

Ok I definitely want to do this to my 2010, but I'm a little worried about two details: "Warm White" and 6 LED vs 8 LED vs 1 Hi power...

I see everyone using the 6LED for the map and rear dome lamps; but Warden no longer has those listed, so it's either 8LED or 1 Hi Power LED and I'm afraid these will both be way too bright... I'm thinking to use the 3LED bulbs (as used in the vanity) for the map and rear dome, but do you think this would be too dim?

Also anyone have the Warm White LEDs, and are they closer to Spedometer backlight color or is the Xenon white the closest match?

I kinda want to do my fog lights as well... any recommendations on these?

I've only had my TSX for about a month, and I'm new to the forum so I'm really just trying to learn some things before I spend money on mods I want to do.

Oh and to the OP (or anyone who cares to chime in) I see when you removed the rear dome cover, theres a metal lug looking thing in there... Do you need to remove that in order to remove the XM antenna from the roof? I'm planning to do a black gloss vinyl wrap on my roof and I want to take the antenna off and either get it painted black, or order/trade for a Crystal Black Metallic one if I can find one cheap/for trade (I have Palladium Silver Metallic)

Thanks for your help!

What's wrong with more brightness? I'd get the 8 if I were you. I have the 6 ones in xenon white. If you're willing to wait a bit i could sell you my old bulbs once I get the okay to take all my shit off my car. I got new LEDs to install if i get another TSX. the ones I have now are from exledusa.com. You should check them out.

Haha I just dont want my car to look like a wal-mart when the lights come on (extra bright). The exledusa TSX kit looks enticing... especially the fact that they have 5000K available. My only concern is installation for those... The other ones actually have tips to plug in like a standard bulb, but these dont appear to. Would I have to pop some wires or do some soldering to install these? The fact that they have a brightness control is good as well. I've had some very bright LED lights on other things in the past and they can be quite annoying if you're in direct line of sight... Oh and their TSX kit doesnt include vanity replacement either? 4 "regular style" door lights included... regular as in incandescent? I'm a little unsure of what I'd be getting there...

Email them and ask. I'll take a pic of the kit I got to show you the back of it. I know what you mean about the tips of the bulbs but the kit has 2 loops which click into the area that the tips go in. Yea their kit doesn't have vanity lights. I'm going to email Jin to ask if he's going to make them or not.

Where does it say 4 "regular style" door lights? I can try to help you figure out what they are. All else fails, email Jin...he's a super nice guy.

Thanks MrStak! I contacted Jin and he said he'd be getting the full kit, including doors and vanity in about 10 days; so I think I'm going to wait for that. The Brightness control function on their LED panels is nice, and they have the right color temperature. Costs a little more than the festoons, but I think it'll be worth it.

Before I had the bulb. Jin sent me a panel but I haven't been able to install anything since I don't have a car. The color of the bulb I'd say is probably closer to 6k? It seems to have a bluish tinge to it...but the panel I got, I asked for 5k.

I've done it on 2 tsx's, and haven't blown one. just make sure you use your fingers to take out the bulb, and not anything metal.

I installed the regular LED on one side, and the inverted on the other. I'll post a day pic of each, but I won't know the real difference until tonight.

Regular:

Inverted:

I'll post the night differences later, but it appears as if the inverted is not as bright, but it doesn't have the super bright halo in the center that the regular does. not sure about light distribution between the two at this time.

I decided to go with the regular. the inverted had less of the halo effect at night, but it almost seemed like that circle was burned in on the plastic cover from the stock bulbs (that, or it is just built into the cover and I didn't notice it). the regular was brighter, and I don't think the halo will be that noticeable.

if you're on the fence, I would advise that everyone do this. I only did the two front domes, the back dome, and the 4 doors. it took less than 15 minutes to install with 0 hassles, and it cost me less than $20. it makes a tremendous difference.
