Beware: Bad Experience with Heeltoeauto

Hi,

I was recently on the lookout for Black Chrome Emblems. I saw a thread on here and instantly set out to buy a set. I attempted to buy a set from the website but when you chose the 09+ TSX v6 package it would say that the combination can't be made. I was simply trying to make inquiry about this issue and addressed a couple voicemails to the number on the website and a couple emails. I addressed the thread on the forums and got this as a response.

But if you don't leave a message, I cannot help you. RE: emails, I don't recall getting any on black chrome in the last few days, it could have been overlooked. Even still, we do take a couple days to respond, worst case.

Any any rate, if you want to buy a set, you need to do so online. You don't need to call or email to buy a set.
I for one find it a little rude and discouraging that this is the response I get for trying to get a response and place an order to his website. I would have much rather him taken the time to maybe address my issue by taking 5 seconds to offer a better time of day where he might be reached or instead of calling bullshit on me to maybe say there may be errors in the system and hasn't received my messages and to help me out. Instead I got that. I was going to place an order today after the response I got in an email 3 weeks later thanking me for finding the error and that it has now been fixed. But, I'd advise everyone to think twice before dealing with someone like this. Extremely pathetic.

I know there aren't anyone else who offer these, so I will have to do without it. Just thought I'd share my experience with a website sponsor. I'm simply bothered at how poorly this was handled.

Regards,

icky2unk

I work in customer service and train others for customer service and I agree that he could have said something along the lines of 'I apologize, I'll send you a PM right away.' All feelings aside.. this is just my

Yes Marcus could have responded better, but I think he was maybe just feeling upset because many can vouch that he does in fact spend much of his energy trying to create the best customer service experience possible. He is constantly trying to get feedback on how to improve the site, has newsletters etc, and majority of people do have positive experiences with him.

There probably was some technical problems with communications as Im sure if there were any emails or voicemails, he definitely would have responded. I suppose maybe he was offended being accused of not responding when he makes a conscious effort to provide good customer service. ULTIMATELY though, yes he definitely could have replied to your message more respectfully then calling "bullshit."

^ this is epic!!!! Great one Ed!

Although I agree that what he said was not quite proper business etiquette, but I also think we are not seeing all the info here. I would like to see the whole email thread, or PM thread that might have caused "Mr. HeelToe" to get offended. I am a pretty laid back guy as i would think most are here, and it would take a lot to get that kind of response from me. Just a thought, dont just post what he responded with but also with what you said prior to his reply.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

But I recently ordered a switchblade key from Heeltoe and the key was cut wrong. I immediately e-mailed Marcus and he e-mailed me back in literally 5 minutes with a phone number. I called him. He picked up the phone the first time, he addressed the problem, I had my switchblade key shipped out back to him and he kept me updated through the whole process. He was extremely helpful and polite. I had a great experience with HeeltoeAuto.

Again, sorry to hear about your situation though.

Sorry for your experience, but in my own experience, I've bought multiple times from Marcus since my old TSX to my current one and never had an issue. I had my questions answered quickly.
