KillerG and all of my CU2 brothers, I am officially back in America for good. I'm done kicking ass in Afghanistan. Now, I can focus on my neglected vehicle.. Somebody please bring me up to speed on the latest and greatest. From headlights, to superchargers.

2nd; i dont think some one will want to take the time to list or write EVERY single thing that happened while you were gone. like.... from brakes to superchargers and everything in between...thats a lot of shit!
I can list you certain threads and then you can read those threads to gather more information about what you want!

That works for me bro. I really just need an account of what you think is essentially a "must have". I got out of the Army in 2011 and went back overseas to do contract work for the government as a "DoD Adviser". Now, I can sit on my ass until I don't feel like doing it anymore.

Since you've been away, the most common but arguably "must have" mods are the OEM Spirior taillights and the OEM Bi-xenon headlights.

And welcome back!!

Well, going back to stock.

Depressing how much our car value has tanked in the trade in market.

I think I want to turn my ride into an absolute monster. Throw the turbo on with all the goodies. I just don't want to lose the sleeper look. I don't want anyone to know their ass is about to be handed to em. Lol! I need a contact in the VA area so I can get some help with performance/tuning shops and all that good stuff

Contracting compensates a little bit better than government?

Anything is possible. The question is how fa$t do you want to go?

Are you starting with the V6 or I4?

I will say this brother, I don't have to work unless I want to. I was there from 2011 to 2016. First $90K is tax free . That's all I have to say about that. Lol!! Starting with the I4

I've never understood the appeal of sleepers. I mean how many strangers do you actually race at red lights or Fast and Furious style? If you plan to race people you know or chat with beforehand, chances are they will know you are supercharged,etc...no?

Yeah, I was just talking to a guvmt buddy the other day. He does a job and there is a contract guy next to him that does the same job. For like 5x the salary. And then he mentioned all the add-ons that get lumped in for going into the sandbox etc. It was... um... eye-opening!

Of course, there is the active hostility aspect, but yeah.

First step if you want to go fast with the I4 is probably to sell and get a V6.

There are a couple of guys with superchargers that could probably be good starting reads.

I like the sleeper style because I don't mind not getting revved on by ever dipstick boy racer at stoplights. No sense in unnecessary trouble for yourself. I mean, MC will tell you about getting popped for drag racing even when you aren't. It's not cool, right Simon?

Sort of like how people don't realize I'm a 80th degree black belt ninja unless I want them to. And then it's too late *snaps neck*.

Or how when I'm at the bar picking up skeezies... they don't know I'm packing such enormous genitals until I unreel my trouser snake... on my terms.

Or something.

I am going to dig around a bit and see what I come up with. I definitely have some research I need to do. I'm definitely not selling ol' faithful, lol.. I'll keep her around looking pretty and just buy something else for the speed package.

LMAO!!! I don't even race, but I would rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. Almost like my Glock that I conceal carry. Ijs.

I'm with ya'.

As long as you realize that you're starting behind the 8-ball with the I4, it's all good.

FWIW, I like 4-cylinders, just for simplicity and ease, etc. Not to say I wouldn't like the extra oomph from a 6, but it'll do.

A supercharger, some bolt-ons, and a tune will go a long way. Off the top of my head, I think SSJoe would be the best place to start looking:

You should get a wagon.

Then you should get an EndlessRPM exhaust.

You should go ahead and get in on the exhaust preorder *now* and it'll be ready when you get the wagon.

Go.

Go do it now.

Haha. The wagon was always the answer. This is the rut I'm stuck in now for not listening from the get go.

Big ticket items are pending sale locally so it makes letting it go a bit easier. Looking at something 4x4 for now.

...welp, guess I should stop even pondering trading my TSX in after seeing that value. Found a 2011 IS 350 F Sport for sale and fell in love.

I want to say kbb for my car is like 14.5k

cars are depreciating assets.

It's at least worth *something* to offset the cost of a new car.

Definitely. The best way to go about it is selling it privately. You'll always lose a good 3k when trading in a car to the dealer.

Yeah, the only way you get a good deal selling to a dealer is if you know of a big enough issue that you can conceal during the sale..

But that's kinda shady stuff right there. I guess it's the dealers job though to make sure they know what they are buying.
